This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm.

Right, now the stalker storyline is out of the way, I think it's time to channel our inner Howard and whip this programme into shape:

  1. Every opportunity must be taken to get TBFE in his fishing or army gear and get him all ruffly haired.
  1. Heston must stop messing about with restaurant reviews (and that reptilian Emma) and realise his love for Mrs T.
  1. Mrs T should wear her flirty wig (see note 2).
  1. Zara will continue to master acting purely by moving her eyebrows and saying "really?".
  1. The Gobbys will appear in as many episodes as possible to add comedy value.

So line up troops and let's march into the world of WTF!

Everyone is welcome, newbies, regulars and even cast members (arf).

We don't do anything for book day here.

It was all kicking off in the playground this morning, it seems not everyone got everything so lots of grumpy mums. Apparently on top of mental maths papers to practice, spellings, a comprehension sheet and reading daily my ds should have had times tables :( the joys of year 2!

Raahh · 09/09/2013 10:13

cinnamon -it's mad isn't it? DD1 has just started year 3- and it's a job-share class , and the homework was very dis-jointed. Unfortunately, one of the teachers is the one ds was lumbered with for 2 years, and she is useless- and is famous for having 'favourites'. Ds isn't really affected by who teaches him- he'd do ok anyway. But dd1 is very affected by it, and her year 2 teacher was so brilliant, it's already been a tough first week.

I need Doctors to be very WTF, and for Nadal to win the US open. Then I might cheer up. might Grin

And I need Wine

cinnamongreyhound · 09/09/2013 10:25

My friend is a ta at school and she was the one responsible for giving out the homework and was the one who was being blamed by the teacher this morning. She's the hardest working most careful person I know so I would have thought if she had it it would have been given out but I can see she's going to get the blame :(

I'm very glad ds1 has a new teacher this year as I didn't get on well with the last one. One of my minded children is in her class and the first day I picked him up she just looked at me and said 'you!!' Shock obviously not please to have to talk to me regularly again! This teacher definitely had favourites and all were girls with neat and tidy handwriting not bitter at all

Raahh · 09/09/2013 11:06

I still can't believe dd1 is in year 3. She was only 7 3 weeks ago. One of her mates was 8 at the weekend!

Mind you, I had a text from a uni friend, her oldest is 16 next month. We weren't much older than that when we met!Shock

Afternoon, fellow WTFers!

MsNobodyAgain · 09/09/2013 13:47

Afternoon. I see TBFE is still crowing over the Jas thing.

"Noreen" has definitely been in it before as several characters, I'm sure.

Raahh · 09/09/2013 13:48

I'm here- but true to form dd2 has chosen now to start whinging. Every.Single.Day.

So, the mother is criticising the daughter's weight?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 09/09/2013 13:48

TBFE is a hero.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 09/09/2013 13:49

You don't get elephants from flies, as my mother always says.

Raahh · 09/09/2013 13:49

She's pregnant.

Raahh · 09/09/2013 13:50

My surgery would never let you do this- they would make you make another appointment.

curlyclaz13 · 09/09/2013 13:51

I agree raahh.
I see Kevin is back from holiday or sick or space trip whatever !

MsNobodyAgain · 09/09/2013 13:51

AnneEyhtMeyer · 09/09/2013 13:51

Oh well spotted, Raahh!

You are right about the appointment, too.

The Mill has midwives? Where were they when Zara went into labour?

MsNobodyAgain · 09/09/2013 13:52

Virgin my arse

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 09/09/2013 13:52

Oh! Virgin birth! They should have saved this one until December!

Raahh · 09/09/2013 13:52

MsNobodyAgain · 09/09/2013 13:53

Raahh · 09/09/2013 13:53

She's due at Christmas-ish though,AnneGrin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 09/09/2013 13:53

In actual fact you would think they would have a midwife in the regular cast - loads of opportunities for WTF storylines and home visits!

Raahh · 09/09/2013 13:54

'Away in a manger'....

AnneEyhtMeyer · 09/09/2013 13:54

Oh so she is, Raahh! I hope she finds a room at the Icon!
