This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm.

Now I am hoping that:

• Heston doesn't get together with that reptilian frozen faced tart. Instead he looks at Mrs T over a cup of Red Bush and is smitten.
• The stalker storyline has a twist and perhaps Al comes to Jizzs' rescue. A knight in a bloody big suit of armour. She'd need a tin opener to get him out.
• The usual people are killed off (6tl, FOD, Chris, Jimmi). We can still hope, never happens though
• We get to see TBFE in his fishing gear again. But there's a storm and he is lashed by wind and rain. Phwaaaaaor!

So regulars, please share your hopes. Any newbies/lurkers out there (there MUST be some, surely?), please join in the banter. It's a programme that is so bad, it's good.

Huzzah to more WTF storylines.

Our doctors knows ds&I (&dd3 by association). Ds & I get offered double appts. GP tends to do consultations about us both anyway.

Am up to date for once & may even get today's live! As dd3 is going on a bus (anywhere) with my mum this afternoon.

Candidates for stalker

Al- admitted to some(but not all) & creepy but too likely?
Jimmi- gave Al an OTT telling off? Maybe he's a rival?
TBFE- made a new harassment policy so doubtful
Chris- too boring?
FOD- ?
Kevin- it's all stopped while he's away & he didn't want her to move out

But it might not be a mystery after all and was completely Al!

My GPs certainly don't know us well, it's a big practice (about 10 Drs and dozens of other staff). On arrival you book in by touch screen, so rarely speak face yo face with the receptionists. It is very efficient though, if you ring up at 8 you will always get seen that day.

I'm sticking with Jimmi BTW based on zero evidence as I haven't been watching

We book by touch screen too but between us we go at least once a week and ds & I are both complicated and having tests which are usually inconclusive. GP currently referring me in 3 directions as she can't decide which.

The receptionists at my docs are very wary of me, after the fiasco with my prescriptions/lying reception manager/fake practice manager. They are very nice when I go in. I have an extremely unusual surname, so it is hard to remain anonymous. I did send dh to pick up things/take the dcsfor a while coward. I studiously avoid the woman, though, and only stay there because I really like the doctors. I hate the touch screen thingy. Most of the time, it's broken

Hadn't considered Kev as the stalker.

I've decided it's Stalker Val. She was strange. And stalk-y.
I hope it doesn't turn out to be Jizz's ex. That would be boring.

I don't think Freya(who?) is actually dead. It could be her.

It would be one of Jimmi's most interesting storylines for ages if it's him. He even managed to make his wife shagging his best mate and subsequent divorce, boring as hell

Oh I love the randomness of real doctors appts & mishaps. You have to book 4weeks in advance at ours-altho' there is a walk in clinic every morning & you only have to wait about 2hours & it's not inconvenient at all for people who work mornings only. [sarcastic emoticon]
Raahh I hadn't realised that Jimmi had divorced whatshername.

We have to call at 8 for an am appt and 2 for a pm one but they always interrogate you ask of its an emergency or of you can come another time. Otherwise it's 3 weeks + for a dr and a few days for a nurse. I've been at the same dr since I was 9, have had 2 children since I've been there but they still don't know me. Dh has been there 8 years and they know him, very distinctive and asthmatic!

I don't care who the stalker is just want to find out! What if she's doing it herself

told- I'm not sure if they are divorced. I was making assumptions

ooh- self-stalking!! She is a pants character, so maybe this is an attempt to give her a split personality

Ours is phone up, get offered a selection of appts with your chosen dr and usually at least one that day. They're really good but I'm not telling you who it is in case you all move here and the Doctors have just had a change round due to retirement & sickness but all new ones are nice too and quite keen on rule bending. One seems to take great delight in not following NHS rules.
