This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm.

Now I am hoping that:

• Heston doesn't get together with that reptilian frozen faced tart. Instead he looks at Mrs T over a cup of Red Bush and is smitten.
• The stalker storyline has a twist and perhaps Al comes to Jizzs' rescue. A knight in a bloody big suit of armour. She'd need a tin opener to get him out.
• The usual people are killed off (6tl, FOD, Chris, Jimmi). We can still hope, never happens though
• We get to see TBFE in his fishing gear again. But there's a storm and he is lashed by wind and rain. Phwaaaaaor!

So regulars, please share your hopes. Any newbies/lurkers out there (there MUST be some, surely?), please join in the banter. It's a programme that is so bad, it's good.

Huzzah to more WTF storylines.

I'm not giving up on this thread either, even if I have only watched 10 mins of Doctors since the Wimbledon break. I'll start again in term time. I'm sure I will pick it up again very easily.

6tl is Emma 'sixth time lucky', as the actress that plays her had bit parts in Doctors 5 times before she joined as Emma.

Howard is TBFE 'the bloke from Emmerdale'

Jas is 'Jizz' as she had a job on a sex chatline

It would be great if it were Chris because then he could go to prison and we would never have to see him again. 6tl would have to leave because of the shame.

The stalker will end up being someone totally random, I expect. Some patient she upset,or one of the two sex-line clients she had.

Realism was never a strong point for Doctors.

There may have been some realism at some point. Years ago. They gave up on it quickly though. Am just catching up now. Bored of this restaurant critic thing now.

It used to be good, before I got sucked in properly last year I watched it occasionally and the patient based storylines seemed really good, I never watched long enough to realise how far fetched the surgery set up is. Rather to my embarrassment I told my MIL it was really good about the time I started watching last year. I was only going to watch for the 6 weeks I was off work sick, you lot seem to have made me keep with it .

The surgery set up is not far-fetched at all. I do actually need to see my GP. All I need to do is just walk in right? Then they'll see me straight away and I'll get at least one home visit as a follow up.

That's right. They will also know your name as soon as you walk through the door into reception and will also know your full medical history and that of your extended family.

I've already reached the stage where they know my name when I walk through the door and recognise my voice on the phone. I do think they could have done a home visit when I didn't turn up for an appointment though. I'm only round the corner.
