Well, when I say almost what I mean is the 29th September in the US, and I think we were a week behind last series so early October - roll on the Autumn.

. One of the comments says that at the end Brodie says in Arabic "I am a muslim lost in this world..help me come clean again".

I CANNOT wait. I've missed Carrie so much. And Saul. Anyone sad enough to join me in the anticipation?

I agree with you. He just slumped didn't he .

ihatethecold · 18/11/2013 11:43

I don't trust salleri at all.
Jux what are you going on about?
Saul is not a baddie.

ButThereAgain · 18/11/2013 12:34

Disappearing to Nadir's burial at sea when the Langley bomb was due to go off is suspiciously convenient for Saul. Much more convenient than Brody's alleged dodge of popping out to an empty office for a quickie with Carrie. Saul could have set things in motion and then stepped away. And questioning Javadi about it could have been a way of throwing him off the scent or testing how much he knows. Perhaps there are competing factions within Iran and Saul is playing one side off against another.

Spy plots are fun to coment on because you can invent almost anything to generate an explanation for whatever mad speculation you want to make.Grin It's a bit like writing the Harry Potter books -- whenever there is a wrinkle or an impossibility n the story, just invent a bit of magic to smooth it out.

northender · 18/11/2013 12:58

My problem is that I just don't care what happens in the same way I used to with Homeland.

coffeeinbed · 18/11/2013 13:03

Oh please please no spoilers!

difficultpickle · 18/11/2013 13:26

I don't think Jux has any spoilers as the US screening is only one week ahead of ours. Unless of course she has inside knowledge.

TheHeadlessLadyofCannock · 18/11/2013 15:51

Have only just watched the one where Carrie gets out of hospital and goes to Saul's place, revealing that they had a plot, so am averting my eyes from the rest of the thread until I've caught up!

Great episode. I am struggling to work out when and how Saul and Carrie could have cooked it all up though, and am puzzled as to why she reacted the way she did when watching his deposition on TV; there was no one else in the room with her so she didn't need to put on an act.

Brody's story is boring so far but presumably it will become clear what its connection to Carrie/Washington is. Ditto Dana.

TheDoctrineOfWho · 18/11/2013 21:43

Three million style points to Saul for the conference room thing!

GypsyFloss · 18/11/2013 22:00

Saul's really making the most of his last fortnight in power Grin

One of the reviews I read says that he said to Javadi " you put me here" referring to his role as head of the CIA occurring as a result of the bombing. Now that is an interesting thought for Saul doubters like me...

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 18/11/2013 22:22

Can't stand Mrs Saul. She's deceptive and very shifty. In fact, I dislike her so much I refuse to even remember her name.

onedev · 18/11/2013 22:24

Very true Gypsy - I watched it last night & heard him say that but didn't think it could mean he was part of it! Interesting!! I'm so not a conspiracy theorist at all!

Fiderer · 19/11/2013 09:33

I thought Mrs Saul has to be a goody because St Saul is and he couldn't be deceived by her, don't think he'd be blinded by love.

But there is something about her return that makes me wonder, or rather about her seeing youngman. Seems strange that she'd return to support Saul and be seeing another man at the same time.

I think Something Is Up cos Homeland still does that. Like when I was thinking Carrie wouldn't have gone to the press so heh? Then it turned out to be all part of the Plan.

And Saul's in his position now because of the Langley bombing so that's what he meant re Javadi.

TheDoctrineOfWho · 19/11/2013 09:37

Mira (Mrs Saul) coming back to support Saul doesn't mean that any of their problems (caused by him being married to the job and her having given up her job for him) have Gove away, just that she wanted to be there for her partner if many years after a massive shock and bereavement.

MurielTheActor · 19/11/2013 10:33

Before every character gets exposed as goodie or baddie let us remember that a fourth season has been announced.
So the game must be kept going a while longer yet... Grin
But IMHO Saul is very smart and knows exactly what he's doing and the idea of being 'turned' one way or another is almost irrelevant to him. He is operating in a world where such matters cease to matter (as it were..Hmm) He is all about something much MUCH larger.
If that means he's an evil megalomaniac then maybe he is - to us mere mortals.

guineapiglet · 19/11/2013 13:53

Oh no!! A season 4 ????

I am not sure I can manage many more twists and turns, (unless they involved more shower scenes starring Quinn)

-I can't make my mind about Saul - I am convinced he is dodgy, but in comparison with Andrew Lockhart (?). the extremely unpleasant senator, he seems like the voice of reason for american foreign policy.

It now seems to be heading towards the Carrie/Quinn show, taking on the world to prove Brody's innocence. I am not convinced Javadi was on the plane either Confused.

There is a lot of bluffing and double bluffing going on, and either Saul/Mrs Saul are playing the long game, they are both double agents, or one is, will presumably be determined - by season 4.

:)

FriskyHenderson · 19/11/2013 19:36

I don't get why Saul made such an effort turning Javadi and being all secretive about it only to tell the Black Ops guy and the Senator straight away?

Did the Senator once get eaten by/turn into a baddy in Buffy?

comeonbishbosh · 19/11/2013 22:15

This episode had Quinn in a shower and Saul locking Lockhart in a conference room. I think that's all we need to know.

SugarSpunSisters · 20/11/2013 17:50

That was one of the episodes where I just watched and hoped for the best.

It doesn't help that I was messing about on my phone at the same time because I am not gripped enough and therefore am probably missing important things Hmm

SmellyFartado · 22/11/2013 21:27

Sunday was a tad dull. I only watched Quinn's shower scene and then pottered about with it on in the background.

Quinn reminds me of Orlando Bloom who is equally gorge. I may have to read ahead again in event I need to steel self for Dr Creepy whenever it is he decides to make an entrance again

SmellyFartado · 22/11/2013 21:39

OOoooo, Sunday looks good.

GypsyFloss · 24/11/2013 18:54

I haven't read ahead this week . I just cannot be arsed .

Hassled · 24/11/2013 21:14

There's something not quite right about loved up Saul. He's better morose.

OP posts:
FunnyRunner · 24/11/2013 21:18

Oooooh love tiff. What is Mrs Saul up to?

HazeltheMcWitch · 24/11/2013 21:24

I have decided that all the people up there^ who said that Saul was bad, were using it as a shorthand for Mrs Saul^. And of course they are correct. She is bad to the BONE.

kitsmummy · 24/11/2013 21:36

Well that's put paid to any debate of who the father is!
