When they asked for Adele, Thomas didn't say anything like "Er.... Nope coz she's not dead" which leads me to think that she is a rev as well and died - maybe momentarily- when she cut her wrists.

NoHank · 29/07/2013 08:41

I really enjoyed it but did find it very emotional at the end and them dragging off the returned. I hate Thomas even more now. He was quite happy to throw other people's children to the wolves in order to save his precious Adeles daughter. Wonder how he'll feel about bringing up another mans zombie baby?

I guessed they would ask for Adele but did wonder why they didn't ask for Serge and his newly appeared mum And what does Lucy want them all for? Why does she need a whole gang of them? They seem to have a bit of a telepathy thing going on too don't they.

I also loved the scene with Julie and the possibly very evil but also very cute Victor where they walked to the door for a cuddle.

And if they are so evil, why didn't they do anything to Julie and whatsherface in the car when they came to get Victor?

And where did all the coppers go? There was no blood or signs of a struggle were there?

And nothing really to do with the plot but I only noticed last night that the sign for the lake poob is in English and so is the one on the building next door, I think it said bar and lounge. I was wondering if it is supposed to be the French version of a british pub, like when you go abroad and there is always an Irish bar or Traditional English bar called the George and Dragon.

Aethelfleda · 29/07/2013 08:42

It's interesting that it's still not 100% clear whether Adele and Julie are revs: they didn't ask for Julie because they didn't need to. And why was Serge not asked for? Still not clear if the "survivors" at the helping hand are genuinely the only survivors because the rest of the new town holed up and are drownded/trapped, or whether the other townspeople just left before weird-arse lockdown circular town. We haven't had the "everybody's dead, Dave" cop-out I was expecting... Talking of which, where did all the gendarmes disappear to, and does that include Julie's girlfriend? And Thomas?

Gingersnap88 · 29/07/2013 08:43

Maybe they need Serge as his story has sort of resolved? That scene with all three of them there: Serge, Toni and their mum, all dead, all at peace with each other? Victor / Louis made it sound like revenge was important to those who have returned?

Gingersnap88 · 29/07/2013 08:43
  • don't need Serge, sorry silly typo
cocolepew · 29/07/2013 08:53

I think they didn't ask for Serge because he wasn't staying at The Helping Hands, he was only there to see Toni. I think Mummy Zombie was sent in to get him.

IdaBlankenship · 29/07/2013 09:18

So where did all the gendarmes go? The thumping on the blinds was way creepy

rosy71 · 29/07/2013 09:32

I think they didn't ask for Serge because he wasn't staying at The Helping Hands, he was only there to see Toni.

I agree. They only needed to ask for the others because they were choosing to be with the living.

OliviaIsOffTheGinMumsnet · 29/07/2013 09:39

I had forgotten about nosey cat lady

smokinaces · 29/07/2013 10:11

Was about to say same thing about serge, he wasn't being held by the living but had gone to look for his brother. His mother came to bring him back.

Was laure with them outside then? I saw Thomas and handsome police man were. Wonder where they all were.

I do wonder why lena didn't go join them. Shed got all friendly with serge and her sister and seemed changed since the forest but didn't go.

aliasjoey · 29/07/2013 10:41

why did Toni choose to try suicide at the dam ? What is it with that dam?

How did Camille know that Lena saw some zombies in the forest - is that the twin telepathic link? Did Lena go and join them? Maybe its a zombie telepathic link... Lena has become much nicer since then.

rosy71 · 29/07/2013 10:45

Didn't Camille say Lena had told their parents about the zombies in the forest?

NoHank · 29/07/2013 11:24

Camille said their parents didn't tell her. I think they all have a bit of a telepathic link going on. When Lucy visited Simon in the prison they appeared to be communicating without speaking. I think that's what all the handprints on the police car were too. The revs "talking" to Victor through the windows.

Did anyone notice Pierre's 2 henchmen that he kept sending to do his bidding? I did wonder where they had popped up from, hadn't noticed them before. They certainly seemed to treat Pierre like some kind of boss.

Cirrostratus · 29/07/2013 11:50

Yes, I'd say telepathic link with Lena. There was a similar link going on during the flashback of the coach crash.

BOF · 29/07/2013 11:50

Right, bear with me- I was clearer on this at about 4am when I w

BOF · 29/07/2013 11:53

woke up from having the dream.

Victor has been in a coma for thirty years. And, um, something about angels and nurses and Julie.

Oh bugger, it made perfect sense in the middle of the night. I've forgotten why though.

aliasjoey · 29/07/2013 12:19

NotHank my DH noticed Pierre's henchmen as well, not sure why so many people turned up to the Helping Hand - were they all bereaved?

Why did Victor say that Toni killed his mum?

VivaLeBeaver · 29/07/2013 12:27

I think Victor meant that Toni's mum died of a broken heart after Toni killed Serge.....so that indirectly he was responsibile for her death as well.

IdaBlankenship · 29/07/2013 13:29

Oh BOF, i hope they don't go with the "its all a dream angle" but I agree Victor seems like a focal point for all other characters. He has been present with all the other Revs either before or after they died (and in Camille's case, seemed to be a contributing factor) - apart from Simon unless he is later revealed to have been present at Simon's death also.

EatYourCrusts · 29/07/2013 13:50

Thomas was stupid to not give up Adele, because now he is dead, or a zombie, they will still be after her, and there's no-one to care for Chloe once Adele is taken.

I don't think Victor is evil, he said to Julie it wasn't his fault when Chloe had her vision. I think people just see things when he is around. Their greatest fear?

BOF · 29/07/2013 13:54

He couldn't have really been on the road though, unless he was astrally projecting or something- he'd been dead 26 years by that time.

Aethelfleda · 29/07/2013 13:56

Hmmm, Victor wasn't close to Serge and Toni, though, was he, Toni just recalled him from school days....

I agree Victor seems to be a doodah apart from the other Revs, though why??

It's a bit weird with Lucy being the head Rev spokesman, I suppose they are playing up the psychic link making her a bit Uber-type. I think I prefer her not being a Rev but being in town for a dastardly agenda reason.

Hey, given that there's a revelation quote on the Helping Hand board, and that the French for "Revelation" is "Appocolypse", could this be the Four Horsemen? Pestilence is the funny marks on the Revs, War is Victor inciting people to violence, Famine is the food running out and Death is in the next series?

coffeeinbed · 29/07/2013 14:15

I really like the Lucy = Lucifer theory.

Aethelfleda · 29/07/2013 15:00

She (Lucy) certainly looked a lot more evil/knowing in the final episode, didn't she, coffee?..... Well, if she is, maybe all the Revs were whisked off into purgatory/other side of proverbial veil by her, and took the gendarmes with them...

encyclogirl · 29/07/2013 15:17

I think Lucy has totally 'evilled up' Simon. No way was he like that in the first few episodes, but last night he was definitely in on something.

Camille was the on Rev totally out of the loop. Mrs Costa was knowing as was Victor. Camille was the most non-Rev of the Revs now that I think about it.
