I thought it was the new town that was flooded 'cos of the tower blocks too. And I also thought that the horde are all the people that died in the original dam-burst (the revenge-seeking ones) - all the other returned that we know died in different ways ...but it kind of seems once they have come to terms with how they died they start to decompose...

Oh, that doesn't really make sense at all, I have no idea!!

MooMinCow · 28/07/2013 22:39

Bloody smirking serial shagger Lucy - was that the reason for her clairvoyant bonkathons? Was she trying to get upduffed, and realised she couldn't have a zombie baby so sent Simon to impregnate Adele?

Why didn't they ask for Serge & familie? Why was Pierre trying to befriend them?

Too many questions.....Hmm

ButThereAgain · 28/07/2013 22:41

Hmm. Pretty awful final episode. Didn't really tie anything up at all. Very disappointing.

LauraPashley · 28/07/2013 22:46

I'm sure it is the new town that was flooded, it had taller buildings?

Did anyone else think Adele did very little to stop her daughter being taken?!

Is the link between the flood dead and the more recently dead perhaps that flood dead people caused their deaths? So they are linked somehow? Victor caused Camille's death, we don't know about Simon...

...actually no that theory does not pan out does it. Hmmmmm!

I still think Pierre is up to some resurrection crap, is he the link? Why did he kill (or his partner kill) victor/Louis' mum???

LauraPashley · 28/07/2013 22:48

I thought maybe the sleeping was significant? Victor might start to go mouldy now he's had a wee nap?! (And mrs costa knew this)

qazxc · 28/07/2013 22:50

Yes the new town is now under water, tower blocks et all.
Jeez Claire didn't seem to be too Sophie's choice at leaving Lena behind did she? Not a goodbye, I love you or saying to jerome i'll go with camille, please make sure lena's ok.
Yes the returned didn't seem to be too concerned about the nutty/serial killer family joining them. Maybe if Lucy saw serge naked she might reconsider.

VenusStarr · 28/07/2013 22:53

Have they made Chloe a returnee so that she will protect the new baba do you think?

qazxc · 28/07/2013 22:54

I think Pierre thought he might be some sought of messiah to returned and living and got a shock when he was shot down by Lucy. "no we don't need/want your help you twonk, we've just popped round for the zombies"

rosy71 · 28/07/2013 22:56

I really enjoyed that! It's the new town flooded; presumably that was the revenge of those who died when the old dam broke. Not quite sure what will happen next though1

rosy71 · 28/07/2013 22:59

Oh yes, looked on Wikipedia and Lucy became a rev after being attacked by Serge. She wasn't before. All the revs must have returned at the same time. I thought it was really good to see all the others as Camille was returning home; we didn't see that at the time.

aliasjoey · 28/07/2013 23:04

So if it was the new town which flooded, then everyone who is at the Helping Hand got 'saved' ...

aliasjoey · 28/07/2013 23:05

And BTW, Laure was pathetic

OliviaIsOffTheGinMumsnet · 28/07/2013 23:09

Argh
I knew it would be a wholly unsatisfactory ending.
Why the frick didn't they just put the shutters down to begin with?!?

It's like Titanic and the door all over again

utahforever · 28/07/2013 23:12

Soooooo many questions, I don't know where to begin. Loved it though Grin

Victor is NOT going to be evil - he just wants to be loved! Although he is going a bit rotten on his arms Shock, but long sleeves will sort that.

nennypops · 28/07/2013 23:28

Well, it is a BIT evil to turn into Serge and make Toni shoot himself? And indeed to turn into Serge and give Julie a hell of a fright. And I don't think we ever found out whether he killed cat lady, did we?

utahforever · 28/07/2013 23:33

Ah, but I think he was being kind helping Toni find some peace before he died.

Cat lady was obviously unhappy with her life, and I think Serge with Julie happened while he was distracted with cat lady Wink

encyclogirl · 28/07/2013 23:34

Loved it! Simon seems to have totally gone to the dark side. Did anyone notice Camille's face had almost healed?

cocolepew · 28/07/2013 23:37

No Victor is a bad 'un, getting Toni to shoot himself.
Why was Serge upset at Toni's death? Will he not be zombified now?

BoreOfWhabylon · 28/07/2013 23:48

Bewildered. Clearly we must wait for the next series - I hate it when they do that.

On the plus side, my Homeopathic Dam Theory has not yet been disproved... Grin

Just had a thought, I wonder what they'll do about Victor in the next series? The actor will have grown quite a bit, won't he? I don't really see how they can abandon the character so maybe they'll have to draft someone else in.

altostratus · 29/07/2013 01:53

I thought I saw Claire exchange a (very) brief look with her husband, which I think was intended to convey something. He didn't try to dissuade her, certainly.

Was very emotional when they tried to take Camille. The other revs seemed resigned to going.

Julie would recognise Serge, but Serge wouldn't have recognised Julie as she was in costume at the time. Maybe he only belly scoffs in the underpass of doom?

IdaBlankenship · 29/07/2013 07:27

Mon dieu! That was a very emotional hour. I was in floods of tears when Victor and Camille were being dragged off.
I did find Adele's reaction to Simon taking Chloe rather strange - she seems like she is in a permanent catatonic state. Surely you would put up more of a fight if a dead person tried to take your daughter?
Serge appearing Julie was genuinely scary.
I'm confused though - what does it all meeeeannn?
