I've found a couple of threads about particular characters but was wondering if there was one just for general observations and if we could have a hands up to see if anyone else cried at Brenda's hair thing. I thought all those tears and smiles looked real

Brenda's scenes were very sad, has she really shaved her hair off in real life.

Cameron - does he want Debbie back or is he just playing a game. I think gennie will be his next victim.

And pollard, are they really off. I remember Eric when he was a antique dealer and an and all round shit. Stopped watching for a few years and he come back and he's a pillar of the community

Hello, I'm in ladies, I had a thread about Vanessa but it didn't get many replies, lets make this a general Emmerdale thread, Brenda had her head shaved in real life as far as I know, ye the ceremony was lovely wasn't it.

Cameron is just unbelievable at the moment, I hope Debbie tells Chas and she kicks him out, Gennie is on to them though.

Anyone else finding Laurel a total PITA at the moment, I understand her trauma but it's a bit over acted and she is a brilliant actress but I have gone off her since she got with Marlon.

And back to Vanessa, she is a control freak, and Rhona knows it but needs her for drugs, where is she getting them by the way

Footface, it's annoying when they completely change a character's personality but sometimes a relief if they're a PITA. I hope the Pollard lot aren't all going - there are others I'd rather see the back of first.

Keep an eye on the Cameron story line.

Wow, that's dedication to your job to have your hair shaved off for it. I know lots of actors do things like that but it's unusual to see it on a soap, is it not? I used to hate Lesley Dunlop because she was in that programme Smuggler with Oliver Tobias ( I was very young ) - I wanted to be her. She's grown on me as Brenda and I forgive her now (have you seen him lately ?). Wee Gennie's got a nice voice.

I'm getting a bit bored with Vanessa/Rhona. I like Paddy, he makes me laugh - could do with a bit more of that.

Aww I love Paddy aswell, him and Marlon used to make a great double act, and poor Paddy always seem to get left heartbroken.

I'm really hoping Val and Eric aren't leaving, Val is so funny, her one liners are brill.

I only remember Lesley Dunlop from that series May to December, she was also in numerous Kleenex adds. Her and Eric are a couple in real life

I loved the wedding, it was exactly what I would have wanted although perhaps not to Bob, and it was nice that his children managed to get out of their front room, where they seem to reside 100% of the time!

Am I on my own having a secret little thing for Nickil? probably!

Camerons getting right on my nerves now, I wish they would bring the whole storyline to a head, hes going to do Gennie isnt he, which is a shame as I like her, shame it wasnt Laurel or Debbie.

And, will David and Preya actually stay together?

I don't get the Andy thing either, I really don't think he's that good looking and he always looks like he is sulking, agree about Amy and Eric, he really looks out for her, Footface my life is like yours, I won't say what old repeats I was watching earlier but they were very old....I can't wait for Cameron to be caught and then they can get rid of him altogether, with a bit of luck he'll take the dreadful Debbie with him, I would love to get a scissors to her hair

I have heard Gennie is leaving so am presuming that she will be Cameron's next victim. Surely he can't get away with it for much longer though- he must get caught. It is wierd though as it gets forgotten about then randomly dragged up - ie. Alex's Grandma turning up a while back, then bones found etc. He gets on my nerves, all that sulking around.

Definitely agree with the brush to Debbie's hair. It is hideous!

The drugs/Rhona storyline is tedious beyond belief. And, yes I know it's not real life, but how can Paddy as her husband not realise that something is up? He's married to her, she has turned into a complete bitch with unbelievable mood swings and comes out with a string of bizarre excuses for all sorts - and he hasn't noticed anything is up. Or he did ages ago and was satisfied with 'I'm an alcoholic' even though she had shown no previous penchant for hard drinking until 5 minutes ago. And breathe......

Can I join? Though I am sometimes several episodes behind.
From the list of likes and dislikes, I am hesitant to say,as would' nt like to get anyone fired. I blow hot and cold about Victoria But like val's sister. I am so old that I just remember her in the Liver Birds[no one heard of them I suppose!].

Really hope Val and Eric aren't leaving, they're my favourites. Love their relationship with Amy. Think Amy's mum is a great character, and think the actor who plays her is great.
