Well, it's flying by, this tournament.

Am very miffed that Lipsticki is on second,as I'll probably miss all of it- due to having school meetings and Rainbows between 2.30 and 5.30. .I may catch bits but it's not looking good. And as it's on Centre, even a rain delay won't help.

Not sure who I want to win the first match - but Lipsticki for the tournament, I say- so Go! Lipsticki!

Morning folks! I AM NOT WORKING TODAY whoop whoop!!

Going to take ds swimming this morning to tire him out so he sleeps all afternoon! for some quality time together. Then lunch and tennis.

Seeing as Murray is on second then the assembly at 2:45 shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Although have realised DS has a cub thing on Sunday which ends with ceremony at 3:30 ish. This could be more of an issue

Managed to get flexitme for this aftetnoon. so off to work early and should be home by 2:30/2:45. Will get to see murray and hopefully a bit of del potato.

I have been up since 5am working so am off for a fast shower now. I will not do bits of work throughout today's tennis. Will not. Refuse.

Super excited about today, and in a good mood because DS1 went skipping off into his new classroom today without a backward glance. He has got the teacher we wanted AND he is with his chums and we've got shot of the boy who has bullied him a in year R. Result.

Am rooting for Murray, and Del Potato.

Glaikit - good plan. I'm taking T to toddlers in a minute which will wear him out and then I won't feel guilty about ignoring him all afternoon.

Must manage something a bit better in terms of dinner tonight, things have really got to pot here this week on the food front.

Apart from the fact that I only have a desktop (upstairs) & 1 TV - I am so riveted, I couldn't tear my eyes away from the match.

Even during change overs - especially if there is shirt-removal going on!!

Given I've just had 6months off sick and my boss is being really difficult over my hours I'm amazed she approved my flexitime. Hope you are feeling better now Queef.

magi It helps with the nerves! It really does. I found this thread way back on Black Wednesday - so traumatised was I by events that day I sought solace in like minded people and was welcomed with open arms - not looked back! Its like therapy and I needed it that day - not left the thread since. I could hug raahh for starting it, its been my best ever Wimbledon to date, nobody on here humphs at you if you are happy/outraged/obsessed by it all!
Ali That is really good news about your Ds - my first two cried when I left them. The last waltzed on in as if I was not even alive - she is the one who gets A* today so I reckon you have a child genius in Ds1 as I have in dd of the last born variety! They want to get in, they want to pick up books and learn things Hurrah!

Queef 10 million watched Murray play on Wednesday - surely your boss person knows if it gets as thrilling today, more than that many will be watching? You'd think you could go home early, it is Friday...

Clay I am fine thank you - I feel a bit of a fraud for my 4 weeks as it was just a nasty case of tonsillitis that turned into a nasty infection with a stay in hospital thrown in. I was suspected of having mumps initially.

Now, I am ordering a 5 set 4.5 thriller from Dick Jock & Del Potato to maximise my chances of getting home for Murray.

Hello all ...Can I just say how much I have enjoyed following these Wimbledon threads....but as some one else said ...I just can't watch and post at the same time.........just not quick enough !!!

I have to take my dad to the hospital this afternoon so will be following the thread for score updates !!

Morning everyone and what a glorious morning it is!

My entire day of tennis watching was ruined yesterday, I missed it all

So today I am determined to do nothing but watch tennis. I have even banned DS1 from Rugby club so that the school run can be completed as quickly as possible. Yes really I have banned him!!

And dinner could very well be Dominos!

Today will not be ruined!
