Shock

This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap Doctors, BBC1, 1.45pm. However, it's taking its annual break from 21st June until it returns on 22nd July.

Therefore, us fans are waiting patiently in the virtual waiting room.

  • Mrs T is rearrrrrrrrrrranging the leaflets
  • Zaniel are getting frisky in the cupboard (again)
  • Al is spying on Jas eating her lunch (disclaimer: he may fancy the lunch more than Jas)

So regulars please sign in and take a seat. Newbies very welcome indeed as we plan to keep the thread going by talking drivel throughout the break. 'Tis fun Grin

I saw Bob Geldof & Paula Yates once down in Faversham/Oare creek (think they had a holiday home there?) Most peculiar-do you talk or ignore. Also saw Sir Bobby Charlton (or was it Jack Charlton) in a layby on the Scottish border having a cuppa in his camper van!

Grin Tennis Tennis @ Roger's bum was here!

cinnamongreyhound · 28/06/2013 14:43

I've seen a few minor celebs when I used to work in Cambridge, the most exciting was probably Belinda Carlisle!

One week of our four weeks is over, my life is going by in a blur! Can't believe ds1 only has 3 weeks and a couple of days left in year 1 Shock

And just because Tennis Tennis Tennis Tennis Tennis

MsNobodyAgain · 29/06/2013 17:03

Very warm down sarf so I've been indoors watching the tennis Grin
Poor MsNo & her lack of orange balls-wouldn't happen in SW19 indeed no.

cinnamongreyhound · 29/06/2013 23:26

I always use a green one, which are orange?

Was a lovely day here, nice trip to the park with our new dog :)

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 29/06/2013 23:30

Slightly odd day today, DS is at his first ever cub camp and the house feels empty. DD says it's nice to have less whinging and fighting and she's not far wrong TBH but we are all missing him.

MsNobodyAgain · 30/06/2013 06:51

The orange are the lightest ones cinnamon. I am a bit weedy so struggle with anything heavier.

who I totally get what you are saying. If one of my 3 DCs is out or away, life is so much easier but it feels 'wrong' and I miss them.

Not much happening today. Off to mums, then uniform ironing (grim) and a Sunday dinner. I wish the weather here was good enough for a walk in the park.

Anyone watch casualty? Is the actress that plays Zoe pregnant? She's doing a Zara with large handbags/jackets/scarfs.

cinnamongreyhound · 01/07/2013 07:07

I do if I get the chance OodPi but dh hates it! I did watch it a couple of weeks ago while our babysitting but didn't notice, must pay more attention Wink

MsNobodyAgain · 01/07/2013 11:53

I have not watched Casualty for years. I try to avoid anything hospital based since having children. Doctors doesn't bother me as they rarely have patients Grin

Just been to see Mum and she is convinced Doctors is back on next week. She also said she is convinced Al set up the camera and was completely thrown when I suggested it could be someone else.

cinnamongreyhound · 01/07/2013 13:07

The voice over after the last episode said Doctors will be back in 2 weeks due to Wimbledon but the fb page says they are back 22nd July so I don't know!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 01/07/2013 15:45

I haven't watched Casualty since I started watching ER about 15 years ago and it made Casualty look like complete amateur nonsense.

DS came back very tired but happy from Cub camp, he said he had missed me which is sweet. He is in a fragile state of mind at the moment with his broken wrist being a hindrance to a lot of things and the slightest things seems to upset him. It feels like s long time since he broke it, another 2.5 weeks till he is out of the cast.

I wouldn't have had Al down as the camera person until the last week or so, when his behaviour did get seriously weird with the made up girlfriend thing.

toldmywrath · 01/07/2013 17:05

I heard on the news about that awful massive fire in Smethwick in the Midlands. I wondered if any Midlanders knew whether this is near where Doctors is filmed? I'm not trivialising the fire, just wondering. Poor fire fighters here (& of course in the U.S.)

MsNobodyAgain · 01/07/2013 17:32

I heard that on the news told. Very sad indeed.

who I've never had a cast on (touch wood) but I bet it's a right pain.

In more trivial news I am trying to decide if 'Go Compare' deliberately made the new advert more annoying than the last one. Especially the radio ad.

OP posts:
WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 01/07/2013 17:40

I thought Smethwick was in the Black Country, so wouldn't be too near I guess. Dreadful news from America. Sad.

I will try and check in every day at 1.45 pm Miss.

Except tomorrow when I will be at work, and Thursday, and Friday when I will be at Sports Day, the weekend looks hectic (DD is in a ballet show and I am helping behind the scenes which is going to be hard work). Wednesday it is then.

Haven't seen the ad MsN - I seem to spend all my time on MN instead of watching telly at the moment.

MsNobodyAgain · 01/07/2013 21:42

Grin who. My week is pretty boring this week so I am stalking the thread and wondering whether to repaint my bedroom. I am sick of the red wall now. I think I want silver/grey.

And then I'll need curtains of course. And a light fitting. Oh, and new rugs...

AnneEyhtMeyer · 01/07/2013 21:55

Sorry I've not been attending regularly, MsN. Was away Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and today I was on a school trip.

I promise to try harder.

I want to redecorate our bedroom. It is still the same (apart from the carpet) as when we moved in. The rest of the house was so much worse the bedroom just got left til last. Just can't decide on a colour.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 01/07/2013 22:11

We can't redecorate, it's just impossible to get the furniture out of the way in this little house, there is no spare space anywhere. If you pushed it into the middle of the rooms you'd be left with about a foot of space to work in round the outside. Certainly could do with it though.

OodPi · 02/07/2013 07:30

Sorry MsN

I'm trying to get dh to finish decorating started in Feb before his work fills the next 3 months.
