Shock

This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap Doctors, BBC1, 1.45pm. However, it's taking its annual break from 21st June until it returns on 22nd July.

Therefore, us fans are waiting patiently in the virtual waiting room.

  • Mrs T is rearrrrrrrrrrranging the leaflets
  • Zaniel are getting frisky in the cupboard (again)
  • Al is spying on Jas eating her lunch (disclaimer: he may fancy the lunch more than Jas)

So regulars please sign in and take a seat. Newbies very welcome indeed as we plan to keep the thread going by talking drivel throughout the break. 'Tis fun Grin

Random fact- my sister had a tortoise called Stanley. It used to freak me out. It got a bad cough and diedSad

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 26/06/2013 13:42

Waah, just spent half an hour or so looking foward to watching Doctors. And then remembered. No Doctors. Boo!

OodPi · 26/06/2013 14:10

Ooh like that idea raah Grin

toldmywrath · 26/06/2013 15:35

Ood yes it's worth watching Fridays (check out Al's hands when you do)

[criptic emoticon]

toldmywrath · 26/06/2013 15:36

Tennis

MsNobodyAgain · 26/06/2013 18:48

Drum roll please...

Another win at bingo! We are on bingo-fire. Arf.

150 quid between us this week and I actually won 100 of that (I never win). I didn't shout though, I make mum do it because I Blush if I do it.

42 years old and I can't call 'house' Hmm

Raahh · 26/06/2013 18:56

OodPi · 26/06/2013 19:19

Woohoo MsN

AnneEyhtMeyer · 26/06/2013 19:43

MsN - I think you should donate it to the residents of Letherbridge, to put towards their cold weather fund. The gas bills must be horrendous this year.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 26/06/2013 20:03

Hoorah for bingo-fire! Long may it continue. Grin.

toldmywrath · 26/06/2013 20:30

Well MsNo that's great-and I can't call house either (BUT I have never won-my DH has & he isn't afraid of shouting house)Don't know what I'd do
if I ever won.
Prob wouldn't donate to the Letherbridge fund for hard up energy users though Anne Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 26/06/2013 21:24

Ah, bingo balls. Takes me back to my mis-spent youth in Conservatory Clubs where they had a proper machine that got the balls stuck and everyone would cry 'fix' when someone won more than once.

I am donating my winnings to the local bakery in exchange for egg custards and cake.

I wonder who at the Mill would play bingo? Prob Chris and FOD. Yawn.

Ohhhh, Gobby! She'd be perfect. She'd call 'RIGHT!' and look a bit like this Shock

How cold is it today? Not as cold as micro-climate Letherbridge admittedly but I've just been out with DD (teachers on strike) and I've come back freezing!

The fire is on. I've refused to put the central heating on so DD is sat in her bedroom wearing her coat Grin. She should be warm considering she's just tucked away a massive 3 course lunch.

Moan over.

It was nice here until 10 mins ago and now it's raining :(

Raahh · 27/06/2013 15:21

Been raining here this afternoon. Bit grey all day.

Have had all 3 home, due to the school being on strike. It has thrown me totally, and I keep forgetting the things I should be doing. Like sorting out Rainbows stuff.

Just have to stick to watching tennisGrinTennis

MsNobodyAgain · 27/06/2013 15:25

I'm glad my boys weren't off too. I went back to bed for an hour once I'd got them on the bus. DD said later "is that what you do when we're all in school?"

Errrrrrrrrr, no Blush

It's a bit weird here we are in Suffolk but all the Norfolk schools are shut for the Norfolk show. Went to a town in Norfolk this morning and there were kids every where, travelled 10 miles up the road and there were no children over 5, very odd! Had a lovely afternoon at the park with ds2 digging in the sand at the park and sipping a frapaccino Grin nice I didn't have to miss doctors to do it too!

HoggyTruffle · 27/06/2013 22:42

Our top excitement today was Roger Federer was in the local park with his family. I'm not sure who was more excited, the kids or the mothers and fathers!

MsNobodyAgain · 28/06/2013 10:31

That's a proper celeb spot Hoggy!

The most famous person I ever saw was Jack Duckworth (the late Bill Tarmey).

OP posts:
WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 28/06/2013 11:34

I would have been excited Hoggy and I don't even follow tennis.

The only famous person you ever see round here is Alan Titchmarsh.

Raahh · 28/06/2013 13:23

Envy at Roger spotting, although he's not my favourite player.
His daughters are extremely cute.

HoggyTruffle · 28/06/2013 13:54

His daughters were very cute. Going to the park at school home time probably wasn't a good move if they wanted some peace.

I saw him a bit later when I took DD to brownies, probably waiting for his car. The whole family was sitting on a garden wall under one umbrella looking glum. Maybe there should be a plaque on the wall - Roger's bum was here Tennis

Raahh · 28/06/2013 14:06

Roger's bum was here

a blur plaque moment for sureGrin
