This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap Doctors, BBC1, 1.45pm. However, it's taking its annual break from 21st June until it returns on 22nd July.

Therefore, us fans are waiting patiently in the virtual waiting room.

• Mrs T is rearrrrrrrrrrranging the leaflets
• Zaniel are getting frisky in the cupboard (again)
• Al is spying on Jas eating her lunch (disclaimer: he may fancy the lunch more than Jas)

So regulars please sign in and take a seat. Newbies very welcome indeed as we plan to keep the thread going by talking drivel throughout the break. 'Tis fun

Glasses based fun here today too, woke up to feed ds at 4am pick up glasses and they make an ominous click, side is all wobbly which means the spring has gone. Thankfully I got them just before maternity leave and I work as an optician ! had to go for a hunt for my spares though.

curly my glasses breaking is my worst nightmare. I've needed glasses since I was 5 and I am lost without them. Not keen on having to swap specs to read now but age has caught up with me.

cinnamon must have been a tv lovers house. I have Sky but no HD or catch up tv.

Ended up not taking DS2 to docs as he seemed a lot better, eating, drinking enough, temp down a bit. It was 38.5 this morning but is nearly normal after calpol.

If only I lived in Letherbridge, I could get a reassuring home visit (anyone except creepy Al will do).

We have Sky HD and the little On Demand box attachment which lets us watch catch up tv. It is brilliant. We are tv obsessives lovers in this house.

I've had glasses since I was 10, and can't see without them. I can't hear properly when I take them off, either

Virgin has an integrated on demand/catch up i-player thingy. It's the only good thing about it.
although dh usually downloads stuff onto the media player when we need them, I don't ask questions

Raahh I can't hear without my glasses either I specifically have contact lenses for going to the hairdressers so I can see what they are doing and hear them talking to me.

curly- I used to be the same at the hairdressers. Now I just don't bother getting it cut. I hate hairdressers anyway, even if i could see what was going on, they never do what I want. And no, I dont want it straightening, thanks, so deal with it

I go to the hairdressers and they tell me I have fine hair.

If this carries on, I may disappear in a puff of smoke. I'm so small and fine! Pfffft. ignores baby belly

I hope that rain has passed. I lost my Sky connection for 10 minutes earlier. It better not happen during Doctors.

I get told I have weird hair at the hairdressers as it is really curly (see where my name comes from ?!) but fine and I also don't want it straightened I like it curly.
