This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap Doctors, BBC1, 1.45pm. However, it's taking its annual break from 21st June until it returns on 22nd July.

Therefore, us fans are waiting patiently in the virtual waiting room.

• Al is spying on Jas eating her lunch (disclaimer: he may fancy the lunch more than Jas)

I tried to cash my engagement ring in. Barely worth it. Got plenty for my wedding ring though and my ex's ring and necklace.

I have missed today, due to the dcs taking over the remote. Bloody weather. Ds went out, and it was ages before I realised he was out in thunder without a coat. I live so close tothe airport, that I get planes and thunder confused

Dh also has 2 weeks off after today, and all the --free- activities we had planned are out-doorsy. I hate rain. .

The other year I got nearly £400 for old gold- including dh's previous wedding ring , and a bunch of broken necklaces from when it was fashionable to wear 8 chains at one when I was 13. I was very impressed-and got a lovely eternity ring with some of the proceeds.

I cashed in all my old stuff a couple of years ago (including some old quite heavy broken stuff my great aunt had left that I hadn't realised was gold until I asked them to test it on the off-chance) and bought a lovely posh watch with the proceeds.

That engagement ring looked like at least a 1 carat diamond. Definitely worth selling or re-setting into another piece of jewellery if not offered much. (Tries to remember it isn't real)

I came in as Al was sliming all over Jiz about her award so had no idea how the married/engaged woman was related to Jimmi or what the car thing was all about. Not sure I will go back and watch the first bit.
The dr she was engaged to was hideous and I was yelling at my phone don't put it down the drain, pawn it!
