This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap Doctors, BBC1, 1.45pm. However, it's taking its annual break from 21st June until it returns on 22nd July.

Therefore, us fans are waiting patiently in the virtual waiting room.

• Mrs T is rearrrrrrrrrrranging the leaflets
• Zaniel are getting frisky in the cupboard (again)
• Al is spying on Jas eating her lunch (disclaimer: he may fancy the lunch more than Jas)

Dh managed to buy a pool. It cost £3 and looks like it may be the size of a rubber ring.

Mine cost £5 and is the size of a rubber ring but DS2 and DD spent nearly 3 hours in it.

That sounds great- at least it won't take long to blow up, and I won't be too upset if it springs a leak which it will after first usage

my dcs are trying to fit into world's smallest pool. It's quite funny.

Am I allowed to say whine it's too hot?
No paddling pool as DC are in their 20's so I'm sitting indoors with dark curtains drawn shut.
My poor DS has a 12hr shift today-hope he keeps hydrated & shady (I'm strictly not allowed to mother him-he goes mad if I try!)
DH is sea fishing, other DC elsewhere, so blissfully quiet.

Yep. Moan away. I hate the heat. I smell , my hair is frizzy and the paddling pool means water, wet costumes and towels all over my house. And apparently water turns my patio into an ice rink. It was like watching dominos fall the rate the DC kept going down.

It's too hot for a brew.

I've got weather rage.

And I just changed my bedsheets. I have been trying to sleep under a 13.5 tog duvet.

I can't use a duvet at all, whatever the weather. I think it is my age.

My house alarm just went off 3 hours after I set it. Checked everywhere but can't work out why it went off. No pets. Aaaargh!

Proper spooked now.

Not just me who's still up then.

Just pegged a load of washing on the line and it is so lovely and cool out there now. Forecast is for very hot here all week - I'm another one who skulks indoors with the curtains shut.

Hanging washing out at this time! Never thought of that.

I was really in bed until the alarm went off but I don't feel sleepy now. Surprise, surprise.
