Shock

This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap Doctors, BBC1, 1.45pm. However, it's taking its annual break from 21st June until it returns on 22nd July.

Therefore, us fans are waiting patiently in the virtual waiting room.

  • Mrs T is rearrrrrrrrrrranging the leaflets
  • Zaniel are getting frisky in the cupboard (again)
  • Al is spying on Jas eating her lunch (disclaimer: he may fancy the lunch more than Jas)

So regulars please sign in and take a seat. Newbies very welcome indeed as we plan to keep the thread going by talking drivel throughout the break. 'Tis fun Grin

You should move to Letherbridge, Raahh. Lovely and cool there.

AlphaBetaOoda · 11/07/2013 21:12

Fantastic news MsN Grin and congrats to ds who

anne at the end of term. We have dd2 leaving primary next week and I've already started.

cinnamongreyhound · 12/07/2013 06:36

That's great news MsNobodyAgain! When posted the other day about a blood test I didn't know what it was for so I kept quiet Blush must be a great relief for you!!

We don't have any leavers things here as far as I know but my two are 6 and 2 so not leaving anywhere just yet! Ds2 is starting preschool in sept and that will make me cry for sure. So ready for no 3 but dh doesn't want anymore :(

Raahh · 12/07/2013 11:37

Gahhhh!

There is not a single cheap paddling pool to had inall off South Manchesterpossible slight exaggeration

hopefully dh can find one near his work. Why can't they just be happy with a hose and a bucket.?(actually, they are, butI want a poolGrin) We didn't have water when I was a child...grumble grumble...

I have given up. I am hoping the bigger Asda near the Trafford centre has one, and dh can get it. Be raining this weekend anyway

MsNobodyAgain · 12/07/2013 12:46

That's ok as I think I'll die anyway blowing it up. I can barely manage a balloon never mind a paddling pool!

Raahh · 12/07/2013 13:34

I'm the sameGrinDd had me blowing up a beach ball the other day- Iturned purple and nearly passed outdramatic

We have an electric tyre pump- but I'm worried if we used that on a cheap pool it will just over inflate and pop!But it's not a problem, without the poolGrin

HoggyTruffle · 12/07/2013 13:46

Be wary of letting DH in charge of purchasing a pool. The "small" pool my DH bought needs the air bed electric pump to inflate it and takes ages to fill with water.

Paddling pools never last very long without getting a puncture or split - my DC split the bottom by playing tidal waves which involves kicking the sides of the pool violently better than kicking each other

Raahh · 12/07/2013 14:09

Hoggy- i know- I'm not sure why we want one, and the garden always ends up even worse than normal a bit of a mess, and yes we probably have several punctured ones buried in the shed.

It's very warm here- cloudy. It's making me really sleepy.

HoggyTruffle · 12/07/2013 14:34

I remember the long, hot summer of 76 showing my age now when my parents bought a lovely paddling pool the day before the hosepipe ban.

Don't sleep Raahh, there is a risk you may have a dream involving the cast of Doctors and a paddling pool Shock

Raahh · 12/07/2013 14:37

Ewwww- Al in speedos

Grin
AnneEyhtMeyer · 12/07/2013 14:58

I bet GobbyPlod wears Speedos. Or a mankini.

Raahh · 12/07/2013 16:09

Oh.my.god.

I now imagining Gobbyplod in a mankini, sporting his Movember 'tache.

I feel violated.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 12/07/2013 16:42

I go away for a few hours and I find you lot plunging the depths of taste once again just watch out for that truncheon

MsNobodyAgain · 12/07/2013 16:47

This mankini, do we think it would 'contain' everything or would there be spillage?

OP posts:
WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 12/07/2013 17:01

Depends whether the occupant manages to contain himself I would say.

Raahh · 12/07/2013 17:03

spillage

Grin
Raahh · 12/07/2013 17:03

I meant splutter

It's going downhill fast, this thread....
