corrie don't seem to realise it is called a 'dating' scan for a reason. both Tina and Kylie - when they went for scan they would give them accurate dates.

I don't know why but, I was expecting a term baby to fly out that would've put a spanner in the works.

What will happen about the money? That's the main reason Tina did this.

Maybe she'll accept Rita's money this time?

It really pissed me off that Izzy told Gary he wasn't allowed to see the baby. He made a big and stupid mistake trying to kiss Tina, and has been trying to apologise and move on. It was 100% wrong what he did, but that doesn't mean he has no rights to ever be a Dad!

I think izzy was desperately trying to snatch some control of the situation back - have to admit I felt for Gary though, little as I like him as a character.

oldendays, I can sort of see that, but I do hate it when people use babies and children to get their own back.

On another note, I found it very unbelievable the other day when Tiny Rob asked TraceyLuv if she had killed her ex and she said "you don't really need to know that" or some such.

Excuse me- if I had a boyfriend who'd done time I would most certainly want to know if he'd did it! No way could I shrug it off.

Where does it say the baby will be Tommys? How will that come about? If there's only two weeks difference I doubt it would even come up.

But Tina is leaving next year so how would that tie in? Her and Tommy leave together with baby?

I did wonder ages ago if they would go down the route of the Tina already being unknowingly pregnant before the IVF but I'm not sure if that would work? There is no mention of it in the soap mags today though, only about how Tina feels about handing the baby over

I would it even come up? Unless the baby is clearly a month older. I haven't read it anywhere.

It would have to be something to do with DNA perhaps the baby needs blood or has a hereditary condition. Or it starts to really look like Tina/ Tommy and not Gary/ Izzy!

Or maybe as simple as if the baby has jaundice/needs a blood transfusion and his blood group not compatible with what an Izzy/Gary combination would have been?

It's usually down to the mothers blood group so I can't see how it's going to happen. I really don't think there will be a who's the daddy storyline.

indeed. it doesn't need to be plausible just dramatic. and pretty much they always manage to crowbar a DNA test/blood transfusion in some how.

although on the subject of access and surrogacy, Izzy has no automatic rights, Gary does.

and whilst it is despicable to use children as a weapon...where have you ever seen a soap where they didn't. they may as well just stop calling them kids and start calling them levers/plot devices. 'I'm sorry you lost your rights to see my lever when you kissed the surrogate or is she mother of my plot device' 'but it is my lever too, Izzehh!!'

It would make a refreshing change if they did string something out Desperate. We always howl with laughter at the speed at which situations arise and are resolved in Corrie that would take years to work through irl - mainly crime / prison/ child -related stories .

I just heard will Izzy finger Gary not forgive lol
