I am totally old enough to know this phrase and it was even considered racist when there was an Empire! Old adventure books - you know, where the plucky (male, inevitably) pilot was called Buffy and had to marshal a raggle-taggle crew of thin-looking chaps with Cockney accents - always involved the phrase "Play the white man" at some point, and grown-ups were careful to tell us why this was an unacceptable phrase.
Whining Paul Trouser-Smell acted like an utter twat. All he had to do was apologise. He's completely in the wrong! I enjoyed Eileen telling him off; was disappointed when she sneaked round to the cab office to try and smooth things over. I also liked the bit where Lloyd almost casually told Steve he has to put up with racism from his passengers all the time. Nicely done, Corrie writers, 9/10! Eileen should dump him. When you're seeing a therapist to help you cope with your relationship, you're probably with the wrong partner.
Now can we see Craig in Accidental Hero mode, dropping Karl in it from a great height, please? If he could drop David in it at the same time, so much the better
