This is a thread for all fans of the weekday third rate soap Doctors. BBC1, 1.45pm.

I know in the last thread I said it was a second rate soap, but I've downgraded it to third rate given the recent lack of WTF storylines. Come on scriptwriters, stop being so seri-arse!

Regulars: The lovely Mrs T has her bob wig on and is waiting to sign you at the desk.
Newbies: All welcome. Join in the banter, ask any questions, we have verrrrrrrrry many experts on this thread. Smile

Oh, and a small favour to ask. Can someone kill Emma off please? Fankyouverymuch Grin

It has been rather good Ood. Looking forward to Mondays already. Hestembe and the Gobbys, it's bound to be entertaining.

And my DCs will be back in school after 2 weeks off. Sweeeeeet! School run, back in pjs, park backside on sofa, watch crap tv.

Happy sigh.

Security guard bloke (actually not been watching closely so may not be a security guard) who is in a dressing gown looks like Gobbyplod during Movember.

Love the Gobbyplods storyline. "That's not a telescope!"

Hoping for some Hestembe action in the spoilers too, MsN! Grin

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 07/06/2013 22:35

Anne - I did a double take about Movember too. Think he was a copper, but really wasn't paying attention.

cinnamongreyhound · 08/06/2013 11:25

Your Monday sounds lovely MsNobodyAgain! How I long for a whole day watching what I want on the tv Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 08/06/2013 14:04

Oh dear. Just read the spoilers. Can't believe it is almost time for the summer break. Can we still talk drivel on the thread while it is off?

cinnamongreyhound · 08/06/2013 14:15

Great two weeks of sodding tennis!! I will happily talk drivel to you :)

AnneEyhtMeyer · 08/06/2013 15:05

It's worse than that, Cinnamon, it is off for 4 weeks.

I'm sure we'll be able to fill the void with our usual drivel. We're made of strong stuff! Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 08/06/2013 15:25

4 weeks!

Someone needs to channel their inner Howard and rally the troops to keep the thread going.

Pfffft. 4 weeks. 4 WEEKS!!! Not impressed Angry

OP posts:
Raahh · 08/06/2013 15:36

why 4 weeks? Wimbledon counts for 2... what's the other 2 for?
Interesting spoilers- is it really a year since the demise of Freya(who?)?
Will we be able to cope with the FOD angst, and Chris telling her he knows how she feels etc .

ShockI still haven't seen Friday's. bad SDTP

Raahh · 08/06/2013 15:37

i can still talk drivel, though.

OodPi · 08/06/2013 15:40

Someone needs to channel their inner Howard you volunteering MsN ?

MsNobodyAgain · 08/06/2013 16:01

No Ood, I am nominating his biggest fan.

Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 08/06/2013 18:33

Oi MsN, pointing is very rude!

He is rather fabulous though. I will try my best!

MsNobodyAgain · 08/06/2013 19:02

Ohhhh, I love a good point, me Grin

Anyway, we are talking drivel already and the 4 week break hasn't even started. The thread will live. Yay!

OP posts:
OodPi · 08/06/2013 19:17

I think our drivel makes more sense than the programme.

Dh came home from work last night & said he had been trying to explain 'Doctors' to a colleague Confused Trying to explain its WTF rather than actually crap. Not sure she had got it Grin

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 08/06/2013 20:24

How long till the break? As i am only currently watching 2 a week I might have enough to cover the whole period. Not interested in tennis at all.

I promise to keep wittering on the thread if everyone else does!

MsNobodyAgain · 08/06/2013 20:49

Break starts w/c 24th June. It's back on 22nd July.

Is it sad I have written it in my diary? It is, isn't it? Must get one of them there new fancy 'life' thingys I keep hearing about.

OP posts:
WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 08/06/2013 20:53

Oh god, I go on a fortnight's holiday on 21st July, thats 6 weeks absence!

MsNobodyAgain · 08/06/2013 20:55

Who Shock Sad

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 08/06/2013 22:15

Oh MsN, it is so great to know I am not the saddest SDTP! Take these Flowers as a token of my gratitude!

Who 6 weeks?? How will you survive? Shock

toldmywrath · 08/06/2013 23:04

Who what an awful bit of planning-how very dare some one booking you a holiday on those dates! It would've been far more considerate to go between 24/6-22/7 (doesn't matter if you have children who would miss schooling)

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 08/06/2013 23:13

it was me that booked it Blush as DH has never so much as googled holiday destinations but at least I get to choose where we go.

As for term time holidays, it would be nice, but DS struggles enough with his education as it is TBH. He'd kill me if I made him miss sports day too.

cinnamongreyhound · 08/06/2013 23:55

Typical it starts back just at the kids finish school, the last day for ours is 23rd July. Then I have to watch over cbeebies/DVD I get the older ones to watch while my little ones are sleeping.

toldmywrath · 09/06/2013 16:34

Ah well Who I expect your holiday will be better than watching Doctors anyway Grin
My dc are all grown up, so no cbeebies here although I have watched the occasional GIMP for glimpses of Mrs Tembe actress (I've forgotten her name)

toldmywrath · 09/06/2013 16:34

Lorna Laidlaw is it?
