Had actually started watching The Voice but the kids have taken control of the TV.

Where is the old XF crowd?

Must remember to be especially polite and nice about the female judges

Oh the last woman. She was good but I was achingly bored. Again, fuck off to a singing programme.

Why on earth did the judges not comment on the unbelievably inappropriate choice of song for the little girl? AH has a daughter, she could have said some thing, even "Not sure about the song-choice,but you were great, etc...." Didn't AD say "Good choice!"....What's the matter with them?

Sparklingbrook · 14/04/2013 14:02

YY-all singers bugger off to X Factor/The Voice whatever. her Maj wants to see something really amazing like the shadow dancers, not another yawnsome singer.

It's not Britain's Got Singers FGS.

I hate seeing little girls yelling inappropriate songs. Could she or her parents really not have thought of a better one?!

Little girl... not really that good.

last lady......... my tv sound must be wrong, thought she was awful.

Hungarian dancers.......... seen this type of act before........ and is it not BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT

Not

Hungary's got talent.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 14/04/2013 15:11

Attraction were good but a bit of a copycat of an America's Got Talent act from a year or two ago! Silhouettes, they got quite far in the competition IIRC. hopefully this link will work:

here

thegreylady · 14/04/2013 15:17

My favourite was the shadow theatre lot closely followed by Jack and then Alice.

Crutchlow35 · 14/04/2013 15:34

I didn't like the silhouette one at all.

bizzey · 14/04/2013 15:50

Really thick comment here ..but .....Is BGT ....cos Britain has GOT talent...or Britain has FOUND talent ...The Shadow dance was amazing and I know others have done other countries talent competions and done well...but it is sort of going to turn into a Eurovision contest ??

(got hard hat on and hiding )

CheerfulYank · 14/04/2013 15:56

Names! Names! Some of us in America need to watch on youtube. :o

bizzey · 14/04/2013 15:56

Dont think I explained myself very well ....but would a ...."World" got talent be better ?

Crutchlow35 · 14/04/2013 16:02

Ok lady singer who is beauty therapist is Alice fredenham.

Dance group are attraction. Stunning.

Young girl is arisandra. If you you tube britains got talent 2013 they are all there.

whiteandyellowiris · 14/04/2013 16:41

little girl was sweet

but yuk at the lyrics in that song for a child....

manicinsomniac · 14/04/2013 16:55

what I really hate about this programme is that we got to see about 8 acts and a few fleeting clips - the rest was the judges or stupid sob stories. I want to either see more 'talent' or for the programme to be 15 minutes long!

I thought the choir were pretty good but I was suprised by how amazing the judges thought they were.

I thought the comedian boy was a great character but I didn't rate his act all that much - hard to do a 2 minute comedy show though.

I thought the little girl was amazing and the content of her song didn't even occur to me until I read the comments here.

The chair dancing stripper - eek!

The Hungarian shadow dancers were literally amazing. Absolutely loved them. But they don't live in Britain (I don't think?) so I don't think they should have been allowed to enter.

The last girl was a good singer but the exaggerated histrionics put me off her rather. She's 28 not 11, couldn't she have had a bit more dignity on national television?!

ivykaty44 · 14/04/2013 19:28

those of you that thought the song choice was wrong for the girl of 11 - what would you have had her sing to show of her voice?

BrigitBigKnickers · 14/04/2013 19:33

Just caught up with this on the I player.

Bizzey I was about to post a similar comment. It is Britain'sgot Talent. As much as I loved the Hungarian Shadow dancers, I was wondering the same. ( Dons hard hat and joins Bizzey hiding in the cellar!)

I thought the little girl had an amazing but under trained voice and they need to be careful as it could so easily be ruined by the high strained notes. And I agree, an amazingly inappropriate song for an 11 year old.

Loved Jack- genuinely funny non precocious lad.

Didn't rate many of the others.

HoHoHoNoYouDont · 15/04/2013 01:44

Loved the Hungarian act but I don't understand how the forrin acts are allowed? Perhaps we should host Europe's Got Talent'

I hate BGT so why the hell am I here Grin

MrsMelons · 15/04/2013 07:19

I thought the little girl was very good, yes the song was inappropriate but I really can't see why that matters at this stage (TBH all pop songs are inappropriate these days). She was just auditioning with no professional guidance etc so if she had a record contract I am sure they would be more sensible. I have been involved in lots of kids theatre, musicals, singing etc and I think it is unusual to find an 11 year old with that sort of control and emotion at that age. Obviously not perfect yetbut I would be very surprised if she does not become an amazing singer when older. Not everyones cup of tea of course.

I loved the hungarian shadow dancer,s I have ever seen anything like that before and it made me cry - I have only ever cried once at dancing and that was Matthew Bournes Edward Scissorhands. They were incredible.

I thought the last lady was good but not sure about her, I think MN has made me cynical Grin as I said to DH I thought she had gone OTT to dress in an outfit I would do the decoration in but he reckons it was because she was nervous so wanted to be comfortable!!

MrsMelons · 15/04/2013 07:21

Just seen Brigits post - it did cross my mind re the straining but we don't know how much training she has had. She is only 11 so singing that sort of pop song is likely to sound untrained as most singing teachers I know tend to do more classical/musicals (not all of them I guess)

mrsjay · 15/04/2013 09:42

I keep you tubing the shadow theatre I think it is stunning and I well up, I thought the last girl was boring not as exceptional as they were making out yes she could sing but it wasn't any different to any other good singer,

Gooseysgirl · 20/04/2013 19:07

Bump for tonight

Sparklingbrook · 20/04/2013 19:09

Helloooo!! V odd so far.....
