Had actually started watching The Voice but the kids have taken control of the TV.

Where is the old XF crowd?

Must remember to be especially polite and nice about the female judges

Sparklingbrook · 13/04/2013 20:35

Oh and Ant and Dec Ezza. Grin

Ezza1 · 13/04/2013 20:40

Oops, how could Iforget them Sparkling! ! Grin

Prefer them in I'm a Celeb though tbh - they just dont seem as funny in BGT for some reason. Still make me giggle though.

Jux · 13/04/2013 20:45

Missed it! Defected to The Voice for my sins, but I do prefer Will.I.Am to SC, and I'm clearly a very unfaithful type. Oh, and dd and her friend like The Voice, so I don't have a choice anyway.

I did see the last few minutes though, and I think that last woman will be headlining all over the world if BGT doesn't actually ruin her first.

I thought Amanda had toughened up for this series as there were no fake tears during 'One Night Only' but obviously she was saving them all for the shadow dancers. Who were brilliant btw but it put me off them watching her unable to speak through her sobs. Then she forced a few for the singer so back on form. Agree that Simon is looking decidedly lumpy in the face. Over botoxed? Think I preferred the relationship between Simon and Piers to the loved-up one between Simon and David. Although Simon doesn't look like he's got the upper hand all the time with DW taking the mick so maybe A Good Thing.

mrdarceych · 13/04/2013 21:40

Loved that voice

Crutchlow35 · 13/04/2013 21:53

Loved the dancers. Didn't rate the girl at the end though. Thought her voiced was dull. Didn't like the young girl either.

Nearly42 · 13/04/2013 22:15

I thought there was something odd about the final girl. Am sure some of the nervousness was put on. She is a beauty therapist so why the awful clothes?

LeeCoakley · 13/04/2013 22:19

Yes, it was like she'd gone to a lot of trouble to dress down. Her hair was clipped at the back so untidily that it had to be done on purpose. Simon obviously loves her so looks like a definite finalist.

Flibbertyjibbet · 13/04/2013 22:38

Agree. I've never met a beauty therapist who would go on tv with her hair like that or in what looked like an old jumper. Bit of false modesty going on too.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 13/04/2013 23:05

The false modesty really annoys me - you don't put yourself up for BGT or X Factor etc if you don't think you're great. Leona Lewis pulled that crap and it worked for her, and now they all try it. Mind you, I thought she had a lovely voice (unlike LL).

I think I am a lone voice in not rating the Hungarian shadow dancers. Thought it was very cliche-ridden and designed to tug at the heart-strings. It was too obvious.

Looking forward to the dancing cat though.

cardibach · 13/04/2013 23:07

I thought the last girl's voice was really weak. She was out of tune most of the time, her diction was poor and she did odd things with her arms. Why is Cowell raving?

BeaWheesht · 13/04/2013 23:17

Th last girl pissed me off - I spent most of the time thinking why didn't you put your mic at the right height?

Dunkintea · 13/04/2013 23:36

I agree last girl definitely dressed down for the occasion thought she had good voice tho but more suited x-factor than BGT .
Apparently she was also in the voice blind auditions but no one turned their chair round ?

Loved the Hungarian shadow thing

Ellenora5 · 14/04/2013 01:17

My favourite tonight were the shadow dancers, thought it was something different, agree with the poster who said that the singers should be on X factor (I hate X factor), don't like children singing in any way shape or form on programmes like this, I always think the parents are pushing them, and that song should not be sung by an 11 year old, and why on earth didn't they get shoes that fit the child properly. The last singer was such a drama queen, she says she told no one because she didn't want to let them down, eh newsflash dearie, you will be on telly so I think you knew pretty damn well that you were going to be good, hated it by the way, but that's just because that kind of music makes me want to curl up under the duvet with my fingers in my ears.

Sorry bit of rant thereBlush

Flibbertyjibbet · 14/04/2013 08:54

If she has already been on the voice then I'm wondering if she is one of those that the producers approach to come on the show. She's very very attractive with a good figure. They could have said come on the show all dressed down and pretending to be terrified and we' ll put you through. Then once the public love this poor terrified waif, they can do a makeover.

Crutchlow35 · 14/04/2013 09:11

Thing is with the singers, I don't genuinely think they will win. Unless they are an act like Jonathan and Charlotte from last year, ie something very different they won't win.

pumpkinsweetie · 14/04/2013 10:15

The little girls voice was awesome Smile
The lady at the end had a lovely voice, and i don't think it mattered what she wore, she was very pretty and had a nice figure.
The Scandinavian shadow dancers were captivating and something not done before on the show, they were brilliant.
And David Walliams brilliant, best judge, so funny!

HorryIsUpduffed · 14/04/2013 13:09

I always X singers on BGT. We want variety and that means something different from all the, erm, professional singers on the Royal Variety. Kindly feck off to The Voice or X Factor.

I also don't think they should permit children except in large groups. I have serious doubts about parents who expose their children in that way, quite frankly. Large groups of dancers are ok because the potential risk is significantly diluted.

I enjoyed the shadow dancers, and my heart leapt at the baby bit, just where AH covered her mouth and started to cry. I think it just tugged the right heartstring for her. It was also hugely skilful and lots of scope for interesting performances in future.
