Ah, now that makes sense. Same time tomorrow?

maisiejoe123 · 18/02/2013 11:13

I am hooked on this series. Like most I am surprised that people overvalue their own house and then want a big house, pool, 4 beds etc for £150-£200k.

It is interesting that as far as I am aware they havent done Sydney which I understand is very expensive. I would also like to see a couple of programmes where they look at more expensive houses just to give some balance say £500-£600k and both parents working.

And also having done a few where there are nurses looking to go.... Isnt it clear that depsite what we think about the NHS we are clearly further forward with for example nurse practioners who are just fantastic. I see one for my asthma and she knows everything there is about the condition. Much much better than a doctor IMHO

They are a lovely, sensible family, daughter was a credit to them also. Right decision , I'd say. Australia does sound rather boring

sailorsgal · 18/02/2013 14:58

I'd seen this one before too but didn't want to let the cat out of the bag as to whether they stayed or went. Grin

DizzyHoneyBee · 18/02/2013 17:29

Schools too, they don't have teaching assistants so what happens with the children who are less able and need extra support?

maisiejoe123 · 18/02/2013 18:15

A friend was in Perth (just come back to the UK) she was very very disappointed with the sen cover. She was in a private but very upset by what was offered.

We have stacks more provsion than other countries.

BookFairy · 18/02/2013 21:01

Once again another family soooo surprised by the houses/what they can actually afford/the cost of living.... I still love it Grin

Aftereightsarenolongermine · 19/02/2013 06:55

It simply amazes me at the lack of research done by the families wanting to move, if I was uprooting my family I would want to know about house & cost of living prices, job opportunities, schools & temperature for every month of the year so that I know whether or not i would get the outdoor lifestyle they all seem to crave.

They must all sign a contract with the BBC which says they are not allowed to do any research & at least one of the family doesn't want to go & family left behind must be devastated at your leaving.

I'm sure there's more but it's a bit early in the morning for me to be thinking clearly. Grin

Aftereightsarenolongermine · 19/02/2013 06:56

But I agree I so love this programme.

Salbertina · 19/02/2013 07:26

I guess they're chosen to make the best telly..Clued up, sorted, practical, harmonious ones might bore us all?

I want to get chosen purely for the free holiday and will ensure we tick every box Grin

DizzyHoneyBee · 19/02/2013 08:59

So what will today's family be like? Lovely or Tut-worthy?

DreamsTurnToGoldDust · 19/02/2013 09:17

Hope they dont leave the dog!

SconeInSixtySeconds · 19/02/2013 09:18

Ok, well early doors but they seem a bit conflicted

SconeInSixtySeconds · 19/02/2013 09:20

Oh no, 115 grand?

Katz · 19/02/2013 09:20

£115k ain't going to buy a lot

ifso · 19/02/2013 09:20

theyve sent them to darwin as cheaper properties up there...stranger area of the country

ifso · 19/02/2013 09:21

whinging already..they live in a shoebox already so why are they being so picky?

ifso · 19/02/2013 09:21

good morning y'all btw Smile

SconeInSixtySeconds · 19/02/2013 09:22

You can't show the a house that is double their budget!

SconeInSixtySeconds · 19/02/2013 09:22

Morning ifso, plenty of room for tutting I think today...

Katz · 19/02/2013 09:22

Another family who haven't been on rightmove to look at house prices

DizzyHoneyBee · 19/02/2013 09:23

They don't seem to be positive! It was 4 years ago, maybe they could get something for 185k then.

ifso · 19/02/2013 09:23

makes me think they just want to move house, not move to the other side of world

DizzyHoneyBee · 19/02/2013 09:24

Lovely outdoor space, but that's a hot tub not a pool....

ifso · 19/02/2013 09:24

another one who wont like much...
