Too expensive I expect.

Floralnomad · 18/02/2013 09:47

She didnt realise it was so vast ! Has she never looked at a map . It's hardly Australia's fault that they could only afford crap houses.

ifso · 18/02/2013 09:48

she said they stayed for 2-3 weeks out there

dawntigga · 18/02/2013 09:48

Also, why, when I was young didn't anyone ever say that Town Planner was a job option?

SconeInSixtySeconds · 18/02/2013 09:49

I think I understand what she means though. The suburbs aren't like our towns and villages, the shops are in a shopping centre mall thing rather than a high street, you have to drive everywhere.

SomeBear · 18/02/2013 09:50

I can't concentrate on what they are saying in their kitchen, I'm too disturbed by that holey cow behind them...

DizzyHoneyBee · 18/02/2013 09:50

I don't think it would suit me. We have relatives there and they all regret having gone.

DizzyHoneyBee · 18/02/2013 09:51

what is in that small bowl in front of him?

ifso · 18/02/2013 09:52

many houses are not built solidly of brick, more another construction, so even when weather is wet and rainy and cold, there is no central heating, houses often dont withstand the elements well

but other houses are brick built though and well

dont need to see her student flat thanks BBC ??

Katz · 18/02/2013 09:52

I've seen this one before including the revisited bit.

ifso · 18/02/2013 09:53

this is a lot of guff tbh

Passmethecrisps · 18/02/2013 09:53

Apparently it has no culture. I am sure I heard her say that.

Steph is a beautiful girl. She seems lovely.

I love that deva. Would love if she was a MNer

DizzyHoneyBee · 18/02/2013 09:53

ifso · 18/02/2013 09:54

DevaDiva · 18/02/2013 09:57

I can confirm Steph is lovely, not saying how I met her as that would totally put me, lol

DizzyHoneyBee · 18/02/2013 09:57

My relatives in Australia had never left England when they emigrated, they went because they felt that they had never been anywhere and done anything. They still don't go anywhere and do anything.

DevaDiva · 18/02/2013 09:57

Put = out Blush

DizzyHoneyBee · 18/02/2013 09:58

LOL, fair enough Deva :)

DizzyHoneyBee · 18/02/2013 09:59

right...well bye ladies, best get off the sofa and get some stuff done. G'day all Grin

gottasmile · 18/02/2013 10:04

Just back to the cost of bananas, Australia had drought then floods, which destroyed all the plantations. They had to start from scratch and the prices haven't come down yet.
