The Walking Dead SPOILER THREAD- Darryl's back. Again. But earlier this time.

OK I haven't watched it yet but will do tonight so let's start on all the spoiler-y comments!

Well, episode 12 is...erm...interesting

I haven't watched it yet - good interesting or bad?

Just a bit of a departure from what I was expecting at this stage with only 4 more episodes to go in this season.

Watching it now. Pretty out there so far.

Do you think they're getting money from Hyundai? That is one shiny post apocalyptic car.

I've noticed that too about the car. It's in bloody good nick considering the environment and that it regularly has zombies swarming all over it.

I know the episode is important in tying up a loose end from Season 1, showing Carl's development and Michonne earning Rick's trust but I still can't help feeling it was a little bit of a waste of screen time. With a distinct lack of Daryl...which is never a good thing.

I suppose it was quite good for michonnes character development in that she spoke more than a sentence.

I loved that episode, it was sort of a path of healing for Rick & Carl. There were some touching scenes, a few moments of dark humour.

Hopefully Rick now has his head straight ready to kick some serious butt next week

Seems like we're just on a slow build to the finale now...

I really liked the last episode, but I prefer the human side of it IYSWIM? I like seeing how the characters evolve and how the relationships develop as opposed to seeing zombies etc. for me, the apocalypse is a vehicle for showing how people are really each others' worst enemy. This season the biggest threat to rick et al have not been the walkers, it's been the governor, and to them that seems to be the biggest blow, because they're human. And yet, rick will now happily drive past the hitchhiker.

Tense much? I thought he was going to ask for the baby, to replace his zombie daughter. Was almost relieved when he said michonne.

Also fucksake Glenn and maggie.no shagging when your supposed to be on a zombie apocalypse lookout.

I am disgustingly jealous that some of you watch it on Sundays and I'm stuck waiting till Friday.

In the comics glen and maggie try to have a baby. Don't know if they manage it, I've only read about halfway.
Baby Judith (and lori, who survives childbirth) are killed in the comics by one of the people from Woodbury when they attack the prison.
Really hope it doesn't happen in the series, I would find it v upsetting Though I know realistically some other characters will probably be offed before the end of the series.

Just seen this week's episode - poor Daryl. And poor Merle, he was an evil sod, but didn't deserve that.

How come he turned though? It looked like he got shot in the head.

Just seen it! Ooooh wasn't expecting that, Merle was a stirrer but I was hoping for some redemption for him.
They didn't show where he got shot, but when Daryl found him after it appeared he had a gunshot wound in his back.
Wondering what will happen to Andrea. Hoping Tyrese and his sister will switch sides when the Guvnor reveals his true colours.

Do you think merle was suicidal? I don't know why you'd go into that situation with no way out. Surely having an escape route planned would be the most important bit.
