My guilty pleasure but I really enjoyed the first series Blush

I remember Soap very vaguely - I like the honesty of the voiceover Grin

I have to say, this is very mild compared to a Latin American telenovela - there haven't been any actual ghosts yet, just a lot of people who were meant to be dead actually being alive. No-one's been possessed either.

And think of the high camp ridiculousness of Dynasty - wasn't Adam Carrington poisoned through his wallpaper? Steven Carrington was the gayest straight man alive (or poss the straightest gay man) and had at least one complete change of face. Fallon and the alien abduction ... it makes Dallas and the 'it was all a dream' sequence positively grittily realistic Grin

amazingmumof6 · 23/01/2013 00:12

this was a bit much, it's like every 5 minutes was written by a different person who's just had a nap!

you know that game when you have a piece of paper and draw a head, then fold it down, pass it to the next person who draws the neck and shoulders etc. this plot is just like that, impossible to follow!

I'm going to watch all 3 episodes of new series again, with a notepad, jotting down questions and answers...

I think that even if there was an epic CSI crossover, Nick, Cathrine, Horatio and Mac together still couldn't figure this mess out!!

we are big fans, but I liked it when it was "reasonable" - now it's getting really silly with more holes then a sieve..

tribpot · 23/01/2013 00:20

Yes, amazingmumof6 "and the consequence was: the dog was the terrorist" (for example).

Msbluebozooka · 23/01/2013 00:29

Milkshake I'm with you Hun just watched it on catch up and I must say I am clueless too! It's beginning to bug me now, especially Victoria and that weird mouth of hers.
They should have ended it with a happy ending last year
Amanda coming clean and getting off with Jack and V and Conrad going down.
There is too much to take in now especially after a days work and putting dss to bed.
But then again it wouldn't be Revenge, remember Desperate Housewives that was like this at the start with someone dead in a suit case in a lake. Mad lol

LittleAbruzzenBear · 23/01/2013 18:41

My head hurt after Monday night's episode, but in a sort of good way.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2013 19:18

havnt read the latest on here till now, now ive watched mondays episode

have to say blondes is puzzled - doesnt take much Grin

so white haired man is/was with emilsy/amanda mum - was wondering if he was her dad, and he didnt know which emily/amanda was who - and he thought he was killing emily

who is the dark haired man- who seems was emilys lover, so hopefully not brother

nolan is bi, or has sex happily with men (daniels room mate/psycho) for the fun of it

hopefully he will get with emily/amanda as he always seen happy to help her find out the truth about her father

yah that jack isnt with amanda anymore, is the babys his? know emily told amanda that he wasnt but thought she was lying to make amanda feel bad

who or what has tekeda got to do with anything [hhm]

blondes brain explodes - like on fringe

tribpot · 23/01/2013 19:32

So Blondes - I think the baby is Jack's, Emily-Amanda told Amanda-Emily it wasn't in order to have a hold over her in the future.

Nolan is definitely in favour of romping with boys but I think he did say last series he was about 40% gay or summat.

Seems a bit of a shame to have bumped off the white haired man just at the point where he might be an interesting plot twist. So now what? Emily-Amanda's mum swears revenge on her, not realising she is in fact her own daughter? It's very Greek Tragedy.

Takeda still just appears to be a useful plot device - running a school for vengeance-seekers? WTF?

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2013 19:47

dont want the baby to be jacks :(

amazingmumof6 · 24/01/2013 11:04

blondes nor does he ! Grin

amazingmumof6 · 24/01/2013 11:11

tribpot and maybe white haired man (Gordon) is not really dead because Aiden only shot his identical twin!

Emily now has got the pocket watch with her mum's photo, so if she sees her she'll recognize her, but who cares about that? we want revenge, not soppy reunions!!!!!

amazingmumof6 · 24/01/2013 11:15

oh and you know how the first episode started with the "Amanda" boat sunk and all - who's going to die then?

every time they talk about the boat or show it I get like oooh it's going to be Jack, no wait, Declan, no maybe Declan's burglar mate, no hang on could it be Conrad? who's dead hand is the bracelet on????? so annoying!

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/01/2013 11:30

a boat sunk?? dead hand/bracelet??

how did i miss that :(

an evil identical twin would be just the right thing Grin

so will emily want to get revenge on her mum who left her to rot in juney but knew she was alive??

diddl · 24/01/2013 12:31

I thought that we already knew that the baby is Jack´s but she lied when she told Amanda that it wasn´t his?

whatkungfuthat · 24/01/2013 12:54

That's what I thought too diddl

diddl · 24/01/2013 12:56

Glad I´m not the only one!

In fact I thought that Nolan had commented on it?
(May have imagined that tbh)

tribpot · 24/01/2013 13:35

Well of course we don't know that Amanda-Emily didn't fake the DNA test in order to psych out Emily-Amanda :)

Didn't Victoria do that in the last series trying to prove Charlotte was Conrad's daughter?

MilkshakeMaker · 24/01/2013 15:19

Yes it showed Nolan saying it was really low of her to tell fake Amanda it wasn't Jacks, when it was. Was quite good thinking considering how many times she has thrown it in her face to get her way tho..

And I saw the boat under water in the first episode too, am waiting for bracelet to be given to figure out who goes.

BookFairy · 24/01/2013 16:27

I don't remember the boat/hand situation of the first episode. Looks like I need to.check out 4 OD!

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/01/2013 18:40

Ditto fairy

tribpot · 24/01/2013 19:22

Yes, there was diver right at the beginning. I think you were meant to think he/she was diving for the wreck of the plane. But then it became clear it was the Amanda that had sunk, and there was a woman's hand with a bracelet on inside.

diddl · 24/01/2013 20:08

I thought that it was a man´s hand/arm!

Long sleeved shirt & cufflinks!!

amazingmumof6 · 24/01/2013 21:13

diddl I think the arm/hand is a bloke, but also it could be just about anyone...
I just hope it's not me, I don't want interactive telly to go that far!
< what's emoticon for fake worried?>

tribpot · 24/01/2013 21:37

Oh blimey - have we group hallucinated a bracelet?

whatkungfuthat · 24/01/2013 21:50

Was the bracelet the thing the rich kid gave Declan to look after? I'm sure it was jewellery.

tribpot · 25/01/2013 00:33

Right, I am watching it again.

It's Labo[u]r Day weekend. The diver says there has been some kind of fire or explosion, 'this is not an accident'.

The diver picks up a photo of Jack, Declan and their dad. Then he picks up a compass in a sort of lockety thing.

Then he sees a hand. And indeed it does look more like a male hand and arm in a shirt (no cuff-link). He says 'We've got a body, have the captain radio the coroner' Emily-Amanda's voiceover says "a person's true destiny can only be revealed at the end of his journey".

Flashback three months to Emily-Amanda drowning whilst tied to a stake in the water off Japan ...
