  • sit on the lap of the character of your choice. (I think you'll find Kevins is already taken). Grin
  • get a home visit. (Almost guaranteed whatever your ailment)
  • have Jimmi, Heston or practically anyone else provide free detective work.

...or you could just wait around to be screamed at by Gobby.

How can you resist? Grin

To explain to any newbies , this is a very friendly thread that welcomes any fans of the afternoon soap called 'Doctors'.

I'll post the list of commonly used acronyms in a minute but they aren't compulsory, honest!

Apologies for my atrocious typing "Zaara pr Daniel" Confused

That's what you get for thinking you can touch type after 8 years away from an office.

I just assumed you had been on the gin, MsN. Wink

MsNobodyAgain · 04/01/2013 20:59

Ha, ha. No. Teetotal day today Anne. And I've just noticed I've named TBFE twice in my other post. Grin

It must be time to preview my messages before I post.

Heston, wearing the red trousers and mentioning finding a shopping list in the pocket...

Somebody from the Doctors scriptwriting team is definitely lurking on MNet.

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 04/01/2013 21:39

Yes, and you missed out Kevin! You keep away from my TBFE! Angry

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 05/01/2013 10:22

Just catching up, Thursday's episode was quite good (creepy dad) but didn't seem to actually belong in a medical drama?

Friday (creepy ex) is definitely a bit WTF, I am not enjoying the TBFE/6TL thing at all, they don't seem right for each other at all. Mrs T's expression on seeing Heston's undies was a hoot though!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 05/01/2013 10:28

How do trousers end up in a GP's lost property? Surely no one forgets to put them on again after an exam?

toldmywrath · 05/01/2013 18:34

Yes I wondered that about the trousers, too (2 pairs as well) Who
Naice ham probably on that shopping list I wouldn't wonder MsNo
Also I didn't realise that Vivien was still in the credits(I'll have to rewatch both Thurdays & Fridays and do a spot the difference type thingy.

Sparklingbrook · 05/01/2013 18:37

Hi and belated Happy New Year to all. I haven't been keeping up with Doctors very well or the thread. Hoping to resume normal service when the DC return to school on Tuesday. x

MsNobodyAgain · 05/01/2013 18:44

Told I am issuing an online dare for the writers to include the words 'naice ham' in a future episode. Grin

Sparkling I was wondering where you were and was going to PM you but it seemed a bit stalkerish!!! You haven't missed much really, apart from a bit of history between TBFE and 6tl.

Have I missed the episode in the stately home MsN? I have gone missing a bit because I have stupidly decided to decorate DS1's bedroom. Complete nightmare, mess everywhere, Dss sharing a room etc. Crapola.

MsNobodyAgain · 05/01/2013 18:52

There was no episode in a stately home so maybe that is coming up. It must be as there was that picture that you linked to ages ago. Might be a team building thing??

Decorating is a 'mare. My whole downstairs need a refresh and I'm putting it off.

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 05/01/2013 18:55

Ooh good, I am looking forward to that. DIY is bloody awful. I had to take DS's Simpsons border off, only to find three more borders underneath. Shock My arms ache from scraping. Doing wallpapering tomorrow. Should be a larf. Sad

MsNobodyAgain · 05/01/2013 19:01

I've banned wallpaper from my house. I spent £s getting the walls re-skimmed after taking the last lot off. Then I walloped everywhere with cheapo B&Q Magnolia paint.

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 05/01/2013 19:06

B&Q Ivory here MsN. Grin DS1 has gone for 3 walls of metallic silver and a feature wall of this wallpapering nightmare. Sad

Raahh · 05/01/2013 19:16

oh,Sparkling - I read about your foray into wall papering. Very braveGrin

I have decided decorating is pointless when you have a child under 5. See also- trying to tidy up during waking hours and reading a bookGrin

We painted before dd2 came along, but like the mucky finger print effect. It's very 'on trend'.

Grin
Sparklingbrook · 05/01/2013 19:20

I honestly thought I would be done by now Raahh. It's taking ages. If the wallpapering doesn't go well tomorrow I am ringing the man my Dad recommended in the first place.

Oodhousekeeping · 05/01/2013 19:22

We are dh is part way through dd3s room. It's an old house & v wonky and she chose patterned wall paper will look nice but am v amused by a two year old wanting flowers rather than peppa pig Confused

MsNobodyAgain · 05/01/2013 19:46

It's the match length that puts me off wallpapers. You seem to have to chuck away such a lot it seems wasteful.

Ood flowers will last longer than a character paper so it's a bit of a blessing really.

OP posts:
Oodhousekeeping · 05/01/2013 20:10

Yeah, I wanted plain with a border but dh said a border would look wonky due to the floor/ceiling slopes and skirting being uneven.
We are hoping that as the drops are all different lengths we shouldn't waste as much.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 05/01/2013 20:11

We haven't done any redecorating since DS was born (9 next month). On the basis that I don't get stressed if it gets trashed by the DCs. Also on the basis that most of the rooms need a bit of replastering and they are all so small there is nowhere to move furniture to. Needless to say the whole house looks shabby now Sad.

Sparklingbrook · 05/01/2013 20:13

I am so fed up with the clutter everywhere. Bed frame on it's end on the landing, stuff from under his bed in the garage, loads of stuff in DS2's room, and I can't find anything let alone a uniform for Tuesday for both of them.

Oodhousekeeping · 05/01/2013 20:15

We did the whole house 5 years ago, pretty much from scratch ( central heating/ windows/kitchen etc) this is the first we've redone. We are going to be doing a bedroom swap in 2 years and dc4 needs a bed so will all be moving bedrooms. If dd3 looks after her wallpaper I think we could cope with it in our room.

MsNobodyAgain · 05/01/2013 20:17

Ah, Who I know how that feels. I want to get the DCs bedrooms carpeted but I have nowhere to move the furniture to. Very frustrating.

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 05/01/2013 20:18

Oh yes MsN DS2 needs a new bedroom carpet, but zero chance of emptying his room completely. Sad
