  • sit on the lap of the character of your choice. (I think you'll find Kevins is already taken). Grin

  • get a home visit. (Almost guaranteed whatever your ailment)

  • have Jimmi, Heston or practically anyone else provide free detective work.

...or you could just wait around to be screamed at by Gobby.

How can you resist? Grin

To explain to any newbies , this is a very friendly thread that welcomes any fans of the afternoon soap called 'Doctors'.

I'll post the list of commonly used acronyms in a minute but they aren't compulsory, honest!

Grin not watch.

Dodgy doc selling herbal remedies and live blood testing for £s to cure cancer gets set upon by his nephew as his mum died after she refused proper medical treatment because of him.

Jimmi went undercover. Tried to get 'doc' prosecuted by Gobby. Too complicated. 'Doc' tries to get Jimmi prosecuted. Too complicated. 'Doc' has brain tumour and will probably die.

Edward has left to go to Cancun so FOD is alone again.

So- young lad who has recently lost his mother, smashes a window in his uncle's office.Turns out Uncle is a doctor of the quack variety, pedaling herbal remedies. Boy blames uncle for killing his mother with his crap.

meanwhile, Chris takes his dad on a day out. It is not good. They are refused entry at a cafe due to the wheelchair. A group of teenagers thrown things at him in the museum. Chris is very unhappy. His father is resigned to how his life is.

Jimmi pretends to be a patient to show up the quackDoctor. He quickly proves he is a fraud, but is a bit strange. He is taken to the station, but falls ill. He has a brain tumour. Nephew sees this as divine retribution for the death of his mum.

Strange Edward is let down by poppy, is a total drip- and heads off to Cancun to woo her. Cos he is rich. Mandy left alone in the house, to deal with septic tank and foxes.

Or somethingGrin

Haven't watched yet, have been making a snowman and sledging with DD. This translates into me doing all the work on the snowman while she made snow angels and threw snowballs at me, followed by me having to drag her along on the sledge while she sat there like the Queen of Sheba.

Watching now

Sufficiently bored today to compare The Mill with my GP Practice. I was thinking that the ratio of Drs to other staff is all wrong at The Mill. According to my GPs website, to support 10 GPs and a practice manager they have 11 nurses/HCAs, 9 receptionists, 9 admins and a handyman. So each GP has a nurse, a receptionist and an admin just for their patients. Whereas the Mill has 6 (or so) GPs, and only 2 nurses, 2 receptionists and about 5 patients a week. I didn't get out much today, can you tell?

Oh, has it finished? Time for Corrie

AnneEyhtMeyer · 19/01/2013 14:48

Don't forget they cover two surgeries with that skeleton staff too, WhoKnows! Although the Mill does have what I like to call "Ghost Nurses" that you see walking behind reception but never speaking.

Just catching up on Thursday's and Friday's episodes. I bet we end up with Sasha lodging with her Gobby Godmother.

Have just remembered to read the spoilers and it would seem this week is the week at the hotel that someone posted a link to pictures of a while back. Pretty sure the photos had Zara in (did they?) - so maybe we are in for a treat!
