i thought id just have a good moan about cbeebies

  1. where is sue!!!!!! bring her back and get rid of pui she is bludy useless.
  1. put charlie and lola back on, children love it (and most parents) and they take it off and make us watch the really annoying fimbles which dont calm children down before bed.
  1. why on earth does bizi lizi on smarteenies do finger painting on the screen they didnt seem to think about what kids think 'hmm that lady is a grown up and she is aloud to draw on the tele so i must be woo hoo' so much for role models
  1. boogie beebies showing kids dancing on a building site weel done.
  1. the sence the other day with sid playing mastermind about kids tele (yeah cos 3 yr olds are gonna really get that.
  1. big cook little cook i say no more.
  1. why do they keep replacing perfectly good bob the builder and tweenies for crap like fab lab bobinogs and barnaby bear and such like s**t.
  1. this new lunar jim, its just a space age tin tin and for the last week they have just shown the same episodes over and over.
  1. lazytown. im not gonna say to much about this because i might say to many swear words but i dont really think it is sutible for cbeebies age range GET IT OFF!!!
  1. one more thing BRING BACK SUE AND SOMEONE SHOT JUSTIN.

Oh I love justin Smile why has cbeebies got really crap all of a sudden. Ds hardly watches it now

paddingtonbear1 · 08/04/2006 22:47

I agree it has gone downhill lately. Some of the programmes dd likes have either disappeared or the times have changed. She usually asks for one of her DVDs now instead, current fave is Finding Nemo!

Moomin · 08/04/2006 22:56

that man off doodle doo is making me think all sorts of dirty things when i watch it. is it me or does anyone else think the same when the puppets talk they life their middle fingers up and they look like erections?

Blush

just me then...... (i am ovulating at the moment - got sex on the brain)

Moomin · 08/04/2006 22:57

lift their fingers

[go to bed moomin]

luvdoodledo · 26/07/2007 23:38

hehehehe I just found you lot after searching 'cris from doodledo'!! having a discussion with my mum about whether or not Im wrong in the head to sit down with my daughter at 'doodledo time' just for a perv over chris!!

madamez · 26/07/2007 23:47

Even I wouldn't mind half an hour with Chris from Doodle Do. I quite like Razzle Dazzle because I think the repetition is quite good for teaching LOs language. Abosolutely hate Todworld (Turdworld, more like) and have ranted previously about Big Coock Little Cook and fecking Me Too. DS likes most of the programmes but prefers being in the park (smug face)

michie40 · 27/07/2007 14:45

I rather like Lazy Town - am I the only one who would like to meet the bloke who plays Sporticus in person (but he can keep the lycra outfit on)!

mum2rhiandeddie · 30/09/2007 15:26

Hi all,

All your interesting comments about Chris on Doodle Do got read out on Rhod Gilbert's show on Saturday.

And of course, Rhod's sidekick on the show is .... Chris Corcoran!!

And of course I have to add my contribution:

Korky (Doodle Do) is of course, hot.

Justin is OK, looks good for a laugh.

Pete of Boogie Beebies, is hot (and I have a perv at his bum when he turns around)

The lady off RazzleDazzle frightens me - she looks like she drinks too much coffee. In fact out of all of them I think I prefer the cartoon character (who looks like a baked bean with ears)

billa · 01/10/2007 09:06

AFTER READING ALL YOUR THREADS I AM PLEASED TO LEARN THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY FEMALE TO FANCY JUSTIN. I MET THE MAN 2 YEARS AGO, HE'S SEXIER IN THE FLESH, I KEPT HAVING NAUGHTY THOUGHTS OF WHAT I WANTED TO DO WITH HIM AT THAT TIME.

mixedmama · 04/10/2007 11:01

Cant believe nobody has mentioned the awful In the Night Garden.... the freaky Iggle Piggle and Upsy Daisy constantly kissing and how do all the characters fit together and why dont they talk????

BlueberryPancake · 04/10/2007 11:47

You girls are so naughty! That comes from the woman who secretly fancies Gordon Ramsey, but that's another thread

Night garden is a huge hit with DS1 so can't complain about too much, it gives me time to get our dinner ready.

The other day I was talking to a mum-to-be and she asked me what 'Method' I was using with my two boys. the Cbeebies method I replied, sometimes I integrate advice from Channel 5, especially for the morning routine. And I deviate to CITV for Pocoyo, my favorite program at the moment! LOOOVE Stephen Fry's voice. Oh and has anyone noticed how PC plum plucks his eyebrows? They are definitely tidyer than mine...

mixedmama · 04/10/2007 11:51

My Ds does love Night Garden but it drives me up the wall.

hana · 04/10/2007 12:06

turn it off and just watch dvds instead

tigerschick · 04/10/2007 12:17

What really annoys me about CBeebies is the way they repeat the bits with Chris and Poi so often! (They might do the same with Andy and Sid but we hardly ever have it on when they're on so I wouldn't know.)
I mean, how hard can it be to record different linking sections for each day??? I'm not expecting them to do it live everyday but FFS - If I have to watch them make IgglePiggle out of paper plates one more time ...
They don't even have the grace to spread them out through the week - yesterday and today we had exactly the same intro to Discover and Do! Now my dd is only 18mo so hasn't a clue but I know 3 and 4 yr olds who would notice!

mum2rhiandeddie · 08/10/2007 09:29

Blueberry Pancake,

Now you come to mention it - yes. Although when Balamory was first out, I thought that PC Plum was another actor (Michael Troughton who used to play Piers Fletcher-Derbis in the new statesman)

There is defintiely a resemblence.

stressteddy · 08/10/2007 09:35

Does anyone else get ridiculously happy when Sid and Andy (new bloke, like him) do their numbers songs? I think they are pretty good and they seem to really be enjoying it
I like Justin and Sarah Jane- They are exactly what children's presenters should be like

UnquietDad · 09/10/2007 09:58

Justin and Sarah-Jane are the Brian Cant and Toni Arthur of the 21sr century!

mum2rhiandeddie · 15/10/2007 21:27

They certainly have that chemistry on screen. (hell I'm showing my age)

Higgledy House is brilliant.

Can someone add me to the Chris Corcoran fan base if they haven't already? I'm sure the Beeb does it on purpose: employing hot presenters for kid's shows to keep the Parents sweet.

hunnybeanz · 23/01/2008 16:39

another chris fan here too... i love the way he is so sarcastic when the kiddies are doodle dooing. "what lives in a web" "a spider, wow, you dont say!!!!!"

heh heh, mean of me i know.

justin is fantastic, anyone who can teach my two year old the sign for rabbit without me having to do a damn thing is good in my books!
(just walked in lounge one day and LO is showing the sign for rabbit and shouting wabbi at me lol!!)

sarah jane...hmmm, my OH thinks she's great, he loves higgeldy house cos of her lol,

i buzz off andy and sid, they look like they're the best of mates... and neither of them is too bad on the eye either!

poi.... my god, she doeseth my nut in.... really annoys me....

and that chris, he reminds me of someone who shouldnt be working with or around children,

i know its really mean of me, but i cant help myself, its his eyes.... and that creepy smile.....

*shudder
