Just starting a new thread before tonight's elimination, as I'm sure we'll all have something to say about that.

I'm linking Devo with Jason D. There's a sort of competitive-business about them, remembering Jason's serious-face when not centre stage, but gushing about 'fun' when he was centre stage. For Devo and James J it's a bit similar, but in a different way.
For everyone else it's a new landscape and genuine wonder at what they are actually managing to do.

Actually ppeat I really didn't get what the judges were going on about last week - I think Louis has danced beautifully all through and I never sensed any lack of emotion, I think they were looking to take him down a peg in a predictable way. He's got a great personality (according to ds he was excellent on 'never mind the buzzcocks') and really doesn't need to make faces to convince me. Going by all the footstomping at the end he could win even if sat down for the rest of the dances!

Can't see why people prefer kimberley over Dani - are you all girls aloud fans? Dani is a natural, with kimberley it's all just hard work and that jive was one of the most disappointing this season - It's my fave dance as well, compared to Dani and vincent it was nowhere.

He's been nailed on to win since week 1. The BBC must think most of the public is stupid.

Don't agree with that - you could have said the same about Victoria in week 1 but look what happened to her. That's what's good about Strictly, the audience do respond to emerging talent and not just personality and likewise it's not enough to be able to dance well, you have to be likeable (which is why DVO won't win)

Kimberley is more elegant and more pleasing lines than Dani - the only dance that has less relevance in ,is the Jive.

Louis winning is the best story for the BBC - coupled with the popularity of his professional partner, who has never won.

They will be topping the public vote by some way, but to keep this going there had to be A Journey.

So we have a dip, a couple of weeks where the judges slaughter him, the public howls in outrage, and his vote goes through the roof. Then the predictable redemption happens.

It's all going to plan as far as I can see.

I wasn't keen on Kimberley's jive. Missed DVO, what happened?

Lisa was so ridiculously overmarked, she didn't deserve 8s at all, she fluffed so much of that dance. Nicky actually did some leg flicks which seems more than any other celeb. I still don't like him that much though.
I actually think this series is not as good as other ones, I'm sure at this point in the previous few series had lots more 10s 3 weeks away from the final. IIRC only DVO has had 2 dances with one 10 or more and then Louis's from tonight.
Would love to see either Dani or Louis win. I don't think DVO will have the audience support.

Yes Kimberley has a physical advantage in looking more elegant and she does make beautiful 'shapes' but I don't feel much expression in her dancing. I like the fact that Dani demonstrates you can be short and stumpy but still communicate joy in dancing. Not that I'm biased about short stumpy people

You're right frankly I still want Danni to win which she could if she attended more reheasals apparently. I like her style AND her personality. Vincent is sweet too.

Watching this late - but what was DVO doing? Looked totally inelegant and bandy-legged to me. Stiff back as well. Shows she's human I suppose.

Ooh do you have insider knowlege ppeat? Vincent is cute and sharp and an excellent choreographer I would really like to see him win - don't know if he's had a winning partner before?

DVO looked nervous even before they danced so perhaps some problem?

Omg some very ungraceful moves in the DVO dance. Critch shots, legs splayed, legs akimbo, weird lift and then her ending it with her face on James's crotch! Terrible dance many mistakes no hip movement bizarre shimmies. Did not deserve 8's. LOved Louis this week. Dani ok but cannot get over the size and shape of her face. Kim looked lovely. Nicky so full of it, and bizarre VT of Karen crying for nicky??!! Wtaf is going on with these two. And bloody hell she should have just not bothered wearing the dress.

Michael and Lisa should be in bottom two. Tess really grating on me now. As is Bruce. Cringed when he tried to high five Louis but Louis wasn't looking.

My beloved DD who has ASD and therefore is literal in everything that she says, thought that Karen looked like a man dressed up. I have to say I agree with this, plus Nicky is totally annoying.

Does anyone else think that DVO is pregnant. She seems to have more of a tummy recently and her face is fuller, she doesn't look like she has lost any weight like the other contestants, not that she had any to loose.

lucjam funny you should say that as I thought the same last night about DVO she looked very awkward last night even before James messed up.

I thought I read somewhere that DVO was hoping for another baby after Strictly.

Liked Dani and Louis best. Kimberley was good. I like Lisa but I think she's hit her limit.
Nicky and Michael both OK, though suffering for me because Karen and Natalie are both so fab I only watch them. (and another WTF for Karen getting all emotional about Nicky. eh? Nicky has more chemistry with Bruce)

No inside knowledge frankly I just watch STT in the week and Russell Grant does the stats (how many hours they've all rehearsed etc.)

TBH James and DVO looked and sounded really strange last night. DVO actually showed some kind feeling towards him which was nice but he was sooo flustered about going blank in the dance like he was frightened of her or something. I agree babbas the dance was crap weird too. I didn't think DVO looked prgn.
