So what do we all make of Marcus and Maria now? Think people are being a tad unfair on them. Even Kirk!!!

Loved Steve locking rob in the van.

Looking forward to seeing where the Tina pregnancy thread will go - hope Tommy comes to terms with it all. Loved the happy faces of Izzy and Gary.

In reality if Tyrone can prove dc then child protection peeps would not allow her to live with ruby and as her main carer Tyrone would probably get residency and even if no proof of paternity could apply for special guardianship. I think Grin

Sleepyfergus · 21/11/2012 21:34

Hold the bus.....wtf is going on with Max's hair? Has he been going to the Michelle Connor School of Shiny, Swingy Curtain Hairdos? It's like a blonde helmet!

ledkr · 21/11/2012 21:39

Sure I just saw max in an ikea advert

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 21/11/2012 23:23

The Nick-Leanne proposal was exactly the same set-up as the Ryan-Tracey one a few weeks ago. Only diference being that I wanted to see Tracey humiliated 100%, whereas I'm a bit torn with the current storyline because I can't decide which of Eva and Leanne I would most like to see humiliated.

WTf was Kirk doing in the Isle of Wight? He may not be the brightest card in the pack but you really can't go there by mistake.

PoppyAmex · 22/11/2012 13:38

OK up to date now.

Eva's red dress/black bra combo! Along with the disastrous make-up, it was just terrible, wasn't it?

I'm actually tense watching Kirsty/Tyrone scenes now, I keep waiting for her to lash out.

Feeling sorry for Nick now, but I distinctly remember hating him last year for making Peter drink and now I can't stand Pete!

It would be nice if the screenwriters would allow us to hold on to our pet hates/loves.

kenanddreary · 22/11/2012 17:46

Poppy - Kirsty/Tyrone scenes are amazing. Think they are both acting out the domestic abuse so well. Kirsty is actually visibly shaking when she gets annoyed. Poor Tyrone looks completely terrified and is walking on eggshells. Where will it end?

Ledkr - hope you're right about guardianship.

Whoknows - I have no idea!! That's a really long way and would have taken him hours!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 22/11/2012 17:59

Hours plus a ferry that costs a fortune.

I agree, Kirsty and Tyrone are riveting, I haven't always thought Kirsty was very well acted, she started out as a pantomime villain with the feud with Tina but has really stepped it up now, you can feel the tension ramping up.

Lozario · 22/11/2012 20:25

Totally agree about Kirsty, I find her properly scary now! Poor Fizz looked terrified too but she's had lots of practise with Stape!

Are Kev and the physiotherapist going to get it on?

MoomieAndFreddie · 22/11/2012 21:11

just caught up from last night

omg kirstehh really is a proper psycho - poor tyrone, he is terrified of her but i really think he is falling out of love with her now, he is just scared of losing ruby

i loved the dirty look angela gave her when she turned up at her dds party :o

PoppyAmex · 22/11/2012 21:28

Moomie I saw that too and wondered why, as I don't think Angela knows about the Kirsty situation?

Maybe she fancies Ty?

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 22/11/2012 21:31

Me too, that's exactly what I was thinking Poppy. Considering he had only been once, the texts and invitations started flowing pretty quickly I thought.

Viviennemary · 22/11/2012 21:36

I think Marcus will realise that he is gay after all and will leave Maria. I wonder what will happen with Kirsty. Tyrone is just so feeble. I want to shout at him!

Sleepyfergus · 22/11/2012 21:38

Yep, I noticed it too. Thought it was a bit odd as surely it's supposed to be Kirsty who's being paranoid whereas the filthy look Angela gave her, well, I'd be tempted to be a bit arsey back to her too if I were Kirsty!

beeny · 22/11/2012 21:42

Where did she buy that red dress from?!

WhatTheFookIsGangnamStyle · 22/11/2012 22:25

I hate to see Tyrone being treated like this. He went through all that crap with Molly and now this.
Did you see the smirk on Kirsty's face after Fizz screamed out in pain after the sewing machine needle went through her finger? How could she do something so wicked? I hope she is reported to the authorities soon. Nasty piece of work. Will she hurt baby Ruby to get at Tyrone in her sick twisted way?

MurielTheActor · 23/11/2012 09:22

Bit out of character, I thought, for Kirsty to get all Annie Wilkes from Misery on us.
Up to now her failing has been her temper and lashing out and hitting and throwing which was all very scary and very believable. If she's now going to get all planning evil acts on us, I mean Fizz Hmm, then she really does become pantomime villain and will probably end up dead in some dramatic scene. I know it's a soap but the DV story has been truthfully played and it would be a shame to change it.

IAmSoFuckingRock · 23/11/2012 09:41

i agree muriel i would like to see them 'complete' the dv storyline without a dramatic murder or anything. i want to see tyrone going to the police and see it dealt with properly. in fact if anything i wish they'd done it as a male on female DV story to reflect what is more common in RL. i dont think it's done any favours for RL female victims.

PoppyAmex · 23/11/2012 09:43

I agree Muriel - I thought it was such a great storyline, especially because of her father's abuse history. It was really well done, in the sense she hated her dad for what he did but found herself repeating the behaviours.

If she turns psycho that part of the story will go kaput which would be a shame.

LightHousekeeping · 23/11/2012 11:10

I think it was right to show it as female on male, we know its often hidden and on the rise.

IAmSoFuckingRock · 23/11/2012 11:53

male on female is also hidden and on the rise. it is also far more common than female on male. mightn't get as high viewing figures/coffee machine convos though Sad

squoosh · 23/11/2012 12:00

In fairness to Corrie they've dealt with male on female dv before with Shelley and her fiance Charlie. That was quite a long running storyline.

IAmSoFuckingRock · 23/11/2012 12:11

that's true squoosh.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 23/11/2012 12:26

Female on male in the end though for Charlie.

I think this storyline is very good, one of the few that hasn't had me saying oh no not this again lately. I would like to see it end well though with Tyrone getting out before he or Ruby get hurt and Kirsty getting treatment but leaving the show. They could make more of the fact that is is even harder for men to get help than women and how he has put walked into a vulnerable position by not working when he isn't married to his baby's mother, especially given the lack of name on the birth certificate. Lucky he owns his own home though, presumably he owns it outright?

squoosh · 23/11/2012 12:30

Oh yeah! Forgot he was murdered by Tracey. Isn't it weird that her criminal record is never mentioned by anyone??

IAmSoFuckingRock · 23/11/2012 12:45

i'd like to see kirsty stay but face the full consequences. and yes, highlight the difficulties faced when names not on BC and not working bit caring for baby etc. but i would like them show what actually happens to kirsty in relation to how it affects her right to live with /see her child as a result of her violence. i wouldn't want to see her just get arrested then disappear. soaps do that too often. i think they should show the fallout from it all.
