I also disagree about Tyrone being a "spineless, gutless, gormless, pathetic" character. He's the victim of domestic abuse, and is can't do anything about his situation for fear of losing his daughter. I think he's playing it well. I only hope it works out well for him in the end.

Re: Karl and Sunita. Although they are both at fault, I hated how Karl blamed Sunita for making sure they got caught. After all- he was the one who undid his trousers!

It's like he's playing the innocent card even though it take two to tango.

Why has Karl left Sunita ? I have missed a few eps.

When Sunita first came back and looked like getting back with Dev I was on here saying "Don't do it!". I now think going back to him would be the best option for her. She is a silly woman, she had that lovely big house, was engaged to someone who seemed nice and now look at her, penniless and trapped with a cheating, lying, layabout. Another one who's kids I feel sorry for.

Ken- Karl, who as you know is a shit, got drunk and passed out for the night in the Rovers. he and Stella had a chat the next day and she mentioend the text she sent him the night he and Sunita got caught out. Sunita had seen the text on Karl's phone, which was from Stella saying she was on her way back. Naughty Sunita deleted it so they would get caught and Karl would have to leave Stella.

Karl is now saying Sunita ruined his life, as if he was a monk or something. she was in the wrong for sure, but he didn't have to shag her did he!

Re Tyrone. I know why you like him youslag but the 'if he reacts he will never see ruby again' is bullshit. He's got photographic and dr evidence of injuries. It's his house. He's the main carer. Surely that's enough to at least get him contact!! I think he's spineless as he always lands Tina and tommy and fizz in it. He shouldn't have been fixing the boiler, he shouldn't have let fizz lose her job and he shouldn't let tommy be blamed for the boiler.

However I do agree that the writers have gone round the houses a bit with this one as in real life, I'm willing to bet one visit to a solicitor would present a solution.

cantheysee- I agree about Max Branning. Apparently in real life Jake Wood is a devoted Dad and husband and has even written plays. Awww. He has a je ne sais quoi.

Youoldslag - in real life he wouldn't marry her but apply for a parental responsibility order via the court. But he's always been gormless and pathetic. Remember when he was so horrible to Tina and tommy at the start. I've known Dom abuse sufferers and quite often they are strong, resilient and not all are weak and stupid like Tyrone. I also don't like that they've made his character so duplicitous with the affair and with the farcical wedding to Kirsty after which he will walk away. He loses some of the moral high ground.

Baking, I agree on the legal thing- I posted elsewhere asking why on earth he has to pretend to love a woman and then marry her in order to kidnap his own baby without getting arrested. I said I was sure there was a simpler legal way. However, I guess this is soapland and a visit to a solicitor's office isn't as dramatically engaging as a fight between goodies and baddies.

I still disagree about tyrone being spineless. He is a victim and i applaud the storyline and its depiction of his awful feeling of being trapped.
