Welcome again to another thread that worships the daytime soap 'Doctors'.

Feel free to join in, jump in and ask about any abbreviations.

Orderly queues are needed for those that want to:

  • slap Cherry (it's a long queue. No pushing at the back please)
  • help Jimmi out with his wire brush and Dettol routine
  • shag befriend Kevin, Howard or Daniel (one queue for each man and no swapping)
  • bet on which wig Mrs T will be wearing each day

The waiting room is empty (as usual). Take a seat.

You know they talk about MN being Hotel California? This thread is the PROPER Hotel California.

Once you check in you can never leave.

Fridays episode was classic Sparkling. I still have it on my planner even though I've watched it twice

Sparklingbrook · 22/10/2012 20:40

I would enable the 'K' button on the planner MsN. Grin

DameMargotFountain · 22/10/2012 21:10

is there a glossary of acronyms Confused

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 22/10/2012 21:13

Next week we move house (yay) but I have to wave goodbye to the Sky + (boo).

This means I will have to wait for the bbc monkeys to upload the episode in question to iplayer before I can watch one I missed.

And no, no plot line as such, but they can't keep track of who's slept with who and so on...

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 22/10/2012 21:13

Try page two of the thread...

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 22/10/2012 21:14

Nope, page one, towards the bottom

BiscuitNibbler · 22/10/2012 21:15

Sorry, Dame. You are now a SDTP - Sad Doctors Thread Partaker.

is this the same gritty drama that Christopher Timothy use to be in?

BiscuitNibbler · 22/10/2012 21:32

Yes! He was Mac. Husband to Juuuuulia, who only left a few weeks ago, to be replaced by TBFE (Howard, The Bloke From Emmerdale).

Sparklingbrook · 22/10/2012 22:26

James Herriot was married to Julia? I did not know that, Way before I signed up.

BiscuitNibbler · 22/10/2012 22:58

Yes, that was how she got to be a partner, he gave her his share when he left.

She was his first wife. She then remarried him after he split with his second wife (Kate, who had an affair with a priest) but he then had an affair with Kate so they split up for good.

Very WTF, in true Doctors style!

MsNobodyAgain · 23/10/2012 07:38

Bloomin' heck Biscuit you've watched Doctors for AGES!

Makes no Sky+ Shock. How will you cope? Mind you I bet it's worth it to be getting in your new house.

BiscuitNibbler · 23/10/2012 08:44

Yes, MsN, that's why my brain is so addled! I am a lost cause!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 23/10/2012 09:03

I've been watching it, on and off, since it was first aired...not that I can remember every wtf twist and turn mind you.

And yes, I know, will be very sad to leave Sky behind (especially when the new series of Smash airs) but the garden, bath, second bedroom and easy walk to town will more than compensate...and sdtp me watching so much Tv, too, hopefully.

now, do I sit here relaxing and mumsnetting, pretending that baby cakes is still feeding, or do I acknowledge that he is just mouthing at me, peel him off, out him in his bed and get on with the washing up my dh abandoned didn't do?

MsNobodyAgain · 23/10/2012 09:11

Makes as a dedicated ff I can offer no help at all on that decision. Sorry.

I still remember the Shock look I gave the midwife after I had my boys and she asked if I wanted to bf. Errrrrrr, no, but thanks for asking.

I'm a rubbish SDTP this week. Still haven't found the humax remote, and can't be arsed with i-player, or work the all-singing,all dancing universal remote that dh insisted on wasting money on buying. And I will miss today 'live' as wellSad.

last time dd2 lost a remote, we found it hidden in the middle of the cheese grater. Because that is the first place I'd lookHmm

BiscuitNibbler · 23/10/2012 13:43

Oh no, Raah, that's a pain. My friend's DD hid the remote not long ago and she found an app on her phone that made her phone work as a remote. I thought it was magic! Shock

I'm back from shopping and have done a deal with DD to let me watch "my programme". I had to give her a bowl of grated cheese as a bribe. Confused She is now very happy and so am I! Win-win!

DameMargotFountain · 23/10/2012 13:43

oohhhh, i'm sad excited!

MsNobodyAgain · 23/10/2012 13:45

Raahh we lost DDs Nintendo for weeks. She found it this morning FINALLY!

I don't think it was in a cheese grater though. She found it in her room but the battles we have had about it... She has £130 in her savings account. I told her the DS was £100. She blanched.

Thank goodness it turned up.

Oh, and universal remotes are shit. Grin
