What I can't understand is, if Basel never mde it to the safe house why didn't they go get whatever it is before the CIA turned up. Also has someone been opening up/working in the shop? Where are his family or friends wondering where he's gone and why he abandoned his shop midday. Am I over thinking this.

I have lurked on this thread each week but today I must out myself and ask - when the gunmen came into the shop who was it who said something like 'I have a SWAT team coming in'? Was it Rupert fellamelad? (Completely overexcited and can't remember his name )
I'm thinking he's dodgy myself. Surely they would have made sure they were all dead before removing the box from the wall.

Also surely Carrie would want to know the address if the safe house Brody was supposed to be taking the tailor to. Brody told them that he died on the way to a safe house and they didn't even pick up on it.

It wasn't Rupert whatsit (Quinn), because he was talking to Quinn - it was the little gofer chap whose name I cannot hold in my head but who has always been a bit of a mole candidate in my mind. Did he get shot?

I know who you mean. Was he shot? It moved so fast and the flipping dog barked to go out at just the vital moment so I missed the details.

I wondered why they didn't follow up on the safe house too! I guess re the shop, they thought things were safe to be stored there but once they knew the CIA were there, they needed to retrieve it.
