I'm so excited, the new series starts next week Grin. Link

They appeal me, to not as much as Hollywood though Grin!!! Xmas is the only time of year I always THINK of making stollen or whatever I get the recipe books out etc. and ask what everyone wants and they always say chocolate roulade and or lemon drizzle cake so I'm always disappointed.

I have made stollen (i love marzipan you see) once and they all ate it so maybe I'll just make it this week and freeze it so I'm not stressed out at the time.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 01/10/2012 15:16

A chocolate roulade would make me very happy at any time of year. Smile

ppeatfruit · 01/10/2012 21:17

Saint Deel's recipe is the best; eat yr heart out St. Mary B. (i'm on a fairly strict WOE otherwise my weight balloons so once a year it has to be lady Sad).

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 01/10/2012 21:49

I was watching The Famous Five earlier and it struck me who James reminds me of - Uncle Quentin !

Who, by the way, is very sexy. Grin

ppeatfruit · 01/10/2012 21:54

Naaah Pelvic Uncle Quentin is 75% sexier than James!

flippinada · 01/10/2012 22:22

Gah, now I want chocolate roulade and I can't have any :(

Never mind, fruit is just as nice - if I repeat that often enough I'll believe it!

ppeatfruit · 02/10/2012 08:50

I could give you a recipe without dairy flip not without eggs though. I make some very mean 'healthy' choc brownies that if you closed yr eyes you could imagine they were a choc roulade!! Grin

herethereeverywhere · 02/10/2012 19:46

Ok is anyone on twitter and following Brendan? He has just posted a picture if himself getting ready to watch GBBO in a robe with wine and cheese and his little labrapoodle Grin how can you not like him now?! It's very Bond villain

SecretNutellaFix · 02/10/2012 19:58

Just waiting. Have had a huge bowl of stew and fresh bread (part baked, courtesy of Tesco), but I am still bloody starving.

Will have to forage.

expatinscotland · 02/10/2012 20:09

I need to eat. NOW.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 02/10/2012 20:12

Am I the only person who finds James and his accent annoying? Blush

ppeat - I said early in the thread (but haven't checked back for ages) I don't get the 'salty dog'. Sorry. Nice guy, I'm sure, but ewwww!

I do love Brendan though. He seems so nice. And Danny. She seems very sane and calm.

I wish I could like Cathryn but I agree, she may not mean to but she comes across a bit arrogant.

GreenEggsAndNichts · 02/10/2012 20:13

I need Paul and that intense look. now.

Grin
expatinscotland · 02/10/2012 20:15

'Am I the only person who finds James and his accent annoying? '

Yes.

Feckbox · 02/10/2012 20:17

LRD?
Yes

coffeeinbed · 02/10/2012 20:19

I'm going off James.
He's beginning to irritate me.
Not sure why.

coffeeinbed · 02/10/2012 20:20

No one ever makes teacakes!
This is madness.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 02/10/2012 20:21

Yayyyy, coffee is with me! Grin

Feckbox · 02/10/2012 20:21

teacake?
never seen those made before

coffeeinbed · 02/10/2012 20:21

I don't mind the accent though!
Grin

coffeeinbed · 02/10/2012 20:23

Will they temper the chocolate?

HazeltheMcWitch · 02/10/2012 20:30

FFS Cathryn, stop shrieking.

And be voted off.

coffeeinbed · 02/10/2012 20:30

No.
Danni, no!

mamhaf · 02/10/2012 20:31

Cathryn clearly has pmt - hormone-induced zits on her face.. And she's normally calm

SecretNutellaFix · 02/10/2012 20:31

It's a tea-cake.

Why the hysteria?

EdgarAllanPond · 02/10/2012 20:32

5th place ! wwarg!
