I am happy that Michelle and Ruth are in the final (although I have a major soft spot for Ansell). Michelle was impressive tonight and siralan has obviously warmed to her. I agree with your points re: sexism and Michelle soph. Ruth has been constantly derided for her appearance throughout the series too - this sickens me. It's not a beauty contest ffs.

But this series won't be remembered for michelle but will be for RUTH

Well last year's Tim is never talked about but Sarya (sp?) is and she was on BBC2 tonight too, she is on the Apprentice website with a regular column... she was the star of the show... love her or hate her.... many hated her for a long time!

Also delighted that it's between 2 women. I want Ruth to win but Michelle is a steely character too.

Loved Siara last year and wasn't too bothered provided Paul went tonite. Everyone at work loved Paul, but I couldn't put my finger on what was wrong with him, but I just didn't like him :) I am soooo glad he's gone :)

You should come and work with me Crunchie- everyone at my office hated Paul and there have been lots of good water cooler conversations about what a wanker he is for weeks now! I think we're pretty much universally behind the badger. I agree with you, NotanOtter, about Michelle being vanilla. I think she hasn't really proved whether she's a bottle of crap cheapo vanilla essense from supercook or a rare, quality vanilla pod yet. Though I suspect the former so far. Perhaps the last task will tell? Can't wait!

I like the fact that Michelle hasn't played on her tough childhood (a la Syed) to gain advantage. It only came out tonight about her past becuase of the interviews ...

Very true, donk. I think it might have been the tough childhood and the way she was supporting her family that won siralan round tonight, though, rather than his perceptions about her business sense per se. And that's a reflection on him not her.

I'm rooting for Michelle, I think she's really together - comes across as competent and professional.

Can't stand Ruth - she mentioned in an interview that when she was appointed to one position loads of people left (says it all really). Don't like the habit that she and Paul have of going on about things afterwards , seems like they have trouble processing events. Also think Ruth totally shafted Syed by being unhelpful on the ship task. I think both she and Paul have a mean side to them.

Ansell is adorable and would be nice to work with, but doesn't strike me as Apprentice material.

Was brill. Funny how his lack of depth or somehting came out so quickly in the interviews when really he had been okay in tasks.

At the end of the day Paul is "only" 25... and has only worked for 3 years... and why aren't there CVs cehcked ??? His story and Ruth's story are dubious...

Come on where's the sisterhood here? I'm really pleased that we have two women in the final, and deservedly so!

Michelle seems to be emerging as the favourite now on the strength of last night's programme - how have we got to this late stage without knowing about her meteoric rise from checkout girl to £100K offshoring consultant? It makes me wonder about the editing.

And the whole Paul CV thing made me wonder too about the selection process too. It shows it's as much about selecting a group who will be entertaining television as anything else.

I think last year Sr Alan went for the soft option in Tim and he hasn't ben much of a sucess - he always seemed weak and ineffectial. This year I think at the end of the day Ruth will win as she has run organisations before. I don't think Michelle has really managed loads of people. Ruth maybe tough but you always know where you are with her, I think Michelle would be more tricky.

However I think the right two are in teh final, people here are still shocked Paul didn't get through, but they obviously didn't see the slime he left behind him. Like a snail or slug :)

Saw Paul on GMTV this morning saying at work he has beaten his target by 94% and won the company porsche for 6 months.

And he works in my town!!! I might bump into him in Asda!

I reckon siralan might offer Ansell a job.

I've been supporting Ruth all the way through, but siralan loves Michelle so at least we have an exciting final task!

Paul is quite vile. That comment about Big Issue sellers, which he obviously put in his application to be controversial, made him look like such an idiot. That exchange 'I can get on with anybody' 'well, you're not getting on with me' was priceless.

I have been tipping Michelle for ages - I thought she'd be third and tulip would get to the final with Badger - really glad she's in there.

I think surralan would be mad to pick Ruth- she may get things done but she's a loner and would do it at the expense of his other staff.

Anyone else find the property developed mate of surralan's strangely attractive? Blush
