The second "them" should of course be "then"

Frontpaw · 28/05/2012 12:17

But they are funny. I have a suspicion that they are both doctorate students of Very Hard Subjects taking the piss. Or maybe not...

How come some people didn't seem to be singing live? Isn't that the whole point?

Raahh · 28/05/2012 13:26

FrontPaw- the Swedish entry really didn't seem live at all. in fact, she could have been cavorting around to any dance track, it would have had the same effect. I used to like the orchestra, and seeing the conductors, who always seemed a bit barking.

I have been humming the Moldova song all dayBlush- which says a lot for having a crap catchy song, and being on last!Grin

TheUnMember · 28/05/2012 14:43

Me too Raahh, I've been humming it too but I was too embarassed to admit it.

Raahh · 28/05/2012 14:53

Grin- I need to learn the fembot dance to go with it.

mathanxiety · 28/05/2012 16:28

Am thinking of changing my name to Howlooksthetrumpet

TheUnMember · 28/05/2012 17:14

I found about the Essex girl who gave the Swedish results. It was , a Swedish singer from Stockholm with a parent from London. She's taken part in the heats to represent Sweden a few times but has never got through :(

TheUnMember · 28/05/2012 17:15

My daughter has come home from school with the Russian Grannies as her ringtone. :o

Raahh · 28/05/2012 18:39

I want the Russian grannies ringtone!!

I do hope they manage to get their church sorted. Mind you, one of the grannies was only 44, so she has a few years in her to enter again. Perhaps she can try XFactor? Moscow's got Talent?

LemonMousse · 28/05/2012 18:50

Unmember Thanks for clearing that up about the Swedish Cockney - I was very puzzled on Saturday Grin

ilovesooty · 28/05/2012 19:23

It has a fab karaoke potential, that "La det svinge" one

It certainly does. I sing it every Sunday in my social club - it goes down a storm. Grin

You all might like . It's one that didn't get through the heats in Sweden, but it's brilliant. It's called 'The Worst Song Contest' and it's a total piss-take of Eurovision. (The dude with the ice-cream is the Swedish equivalent of Simon Cowell)
