Personally, I can't wait. At a complete loss since the end of Borgen. Smile

OP posts:
LaVolcan · 19/05/2012 23:27

I couldn't understand why August died. One moment they showed him alive and he was a fit young man, so you would have expected him to come through the ordeal.

A few loose ends though -no more about Charlotte and why she wore a wig, and no more about Stefan.

Yes, I have seen Headhunters - it's very good. Done a bit like a black comedy.. and I had better not say anymore because that would be a spoiler.

teejwood · 19/05/2012 23:32

he suffocated volcan after slipping in and out of consciousness for a while Sad

the tragedy is that if martin and saga had knocked that wall down when they found the fridge he would probably be alive Sad

jens won because he distracted them - and particularly martin

teejwood · 19/05/2012 23:33

stefan was banged up for over-ironing
charlotte was going to spend as much of her dead husband's money as possible so the daughter would not get as much Grin

scummymummy · 19/05/2012 23:41

lol @over-ironing! That's one way of putting it, I guess.

So many interesting characters in this one. I know what you mean about wanting to know more about them, LaVolcan.

Is there definitely going to be a Bridge 2? I think I almost love Saga more than Lund and Birgitte atm...Shock

icapturethecastle · 19/05/2012 23:45

Thought August would die - was worried saga might collapse and die as well. wish there could be another series - Martin and saga team up fighting crime. I wasn't sure at the start of the series especially about Saga but ended up loving it. Also had a great trip to Copenhagen last weekend and keep recognising things! Roll on Borgen II and The Killing III until then Danish tv addicts!

Highlander · 20/05/2012 09:16

Next week is another Swedish drama: The Cursed One. 2x 1.5 hr episodes featuring a police profiler, Sebastian Bergman.

peggyblackett · 20/05/2012 09:22

I can't stop thinking about the ending. Poor August, and poor Martin. I stupidly thought that they'd managed to save August. :(.

AgentProvocateur · 20/05/2012 09:37

There's definitely a second series - saga did an interview in last Saturday's Guardian, and they're filming it at the moment.

Loved the ending. Could barely breathe at moments.

peggyblackett · 20/05/2012 09:50

I just wanted to cry for Saga when she was trying to lie, but couldn't.

Hurrah for a second series. I cannot wait for TK3 and Borgen2 either.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 20/05/2012 11:12

A second series! Wow that's fantastic. Last night was brilliant. At about 9.50 a balloon we had left over from a party popped and I nearly had heart attack Grin.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 20/05/2012 11:14

Highlander are they really putting 2 1.5 hours on the same night? We don't record and can't get broadband fast enough for iplayer and will never manage to stay awake until midnight if they plan on starting it at 9. Really wish they just put one episode on each Saturday, missed half of Montelbano as I kept falling asleep.

AgentProvocateur · 20/05/2012 11:43

I think Sebastian bergman's on for two weeks - 1.5 hours each week.

coffeeinbed · 20/05/2012 11:44

I know.. I kept falling asleep the previous episodes, so did some catching up yesterday afternoon. The shame.
I'm still young.

diddl · 20/05/2012 17:26

"their coats have belt loops, nothing in them."

Except for Mette??!!

Sad that August died.

In the end it was all quite pointless really.

Why didn´t he just kill Martin & be done with it?

catwithflowers · 20/05/2012 17:32

What I don't understand is that if the only way to free August was to knock down the wall, how come Sebastian managed to make the wall and plaster it etc so quickly. Am I missing something? Surely it would still be wet? Plaster takes days to dry out properly and Saga and Martin would have seen and smelled the wet plaster when they went into the garage Confused

diddl · 20/05/2012 17:34

Yep-that didn´t make much sense.

Was the fridge hiding any wet plaster or anything?

(Was getting a bit bored by then)

catwithflowers · 20/05/2012 18:00

I did love Saga's moment on The Bridge though where she couldn't tell Martin that August was still alive. It was heartbreaking. Really well acted I though

catwithflowers · 20/05/2012 18:04

thought

diddl · 20/05/2012 18:05

Wasn´t the whole point that August would die, though-because of Jens own son?

AgentProvocateur · 20/05/2012 18:23

The point was that he would die and not be found, I think - so that Martin would suffer the same way Jens did.

vjg13 · 20/05/2012 18:58

I'm with you catwithflowers and didn't get that whole part. I was disappointed by the last episode but loved it all the way through.

JessCartandahorse · 20/05/2012 18:58

Great series - I had my heart in my mouth during the last episode. Saga is one cool cookie, especially shooting Martin and Sebastian on the bridge.

Good point about the drying plaster/paint.

Re a second series - isn't Martin going to be in a teensy, weensy bit of trouble for handcuffing and shooting a member of the public?

scummymummy · 20/05/2012 19:39

Worried that they might have to ditch Martin for the 2nd series unless they can come up with another Swedish/Danish murder... (am assuming that there's no way the fabulous Saga cannot be in the next series!).

icapturethecastle · 20/05/2012 21:22

Just reading the guardian blog I am surprised they didn't revisit Stephen Lindberg there was some loose ends there maybe it was cut. Also read the article with Sofia the actress who plays saga - a uk/French version of the show would be interesting wonder if it will happen.

hackmum · 20/05/2012 21:40

That final episode was sensational. Poor August, though.

All this Scandinavian stuff has ruined me for any traditional British or American crime drama, though.
