Think it's in the top 10 of weird Doctors stories!

It's a shame they have lost the plot. They have in their time had some great storylines & given the actors a chance to act something taxing. The storyline with the receptionist who was raped won an award. Can you imagine them getting any awards now?

Raahh · 21/03/2012 14:53

Was it Ruththat was raped? when she had her break down, it was really well done, well acted.

Nope, can't imagine Jack's Love Shack, or Freya's blogging addiction winning them anything!

Raahh · 21/03/2012 14:55

i will still continue watching, though, as i am very sad.

I have ended up watching an ancient episode of Escape to the Country where an old couple had a budget of £1.6 MILLION.

Their names were Fred and Rosemary. This made me Blush

Raahh · 21/03/2012 14:59

No- it was Viv who was raped, wasn't it?

It could win 'Most Baffling Daytime Soap', Grin

Icelollycraving · 21/03/2012 16:10

Yes,was Vivian who was raped.
Didn't watch that after, actually went for a walk with the baby, first day he has been a bit better.
Any house programme I just think of dh who actually gets a bit incensed shouting 'time wasters!' at the screen. The best one was the couple that needed 5 naturally filled duck ponds on the land :o

Raahh · 21/03/2012 16:16

zukie-it is madeup, isn't it? It's just property porn, and i'm very nosey. It's the ones where they go abroad that get me going- it's just a holiday at the expense of the BBC- they've no intention of buying a chateau in the Normandy!Grin

Grin@ 'Most Baffling daytime soap'.

valiumredhead · 21/03/2012 16:18

Sue from Brookie!

Paul Nicholas - ffs did they dig him up?!

Elaine dancing!

Julia's outfit!

KAREN'S outfit! Shock

Sparklingbrook · 21/03/2012 16:52

It really is the actors graveyard isn't it? Grin

valiumredhead · 21/03/2012 17:11

It really is!

You need to pretend you want to emigrate to Australia and go on Wanted Down Under. Then change your mind. Angry

I was watching the 'Story of Musicals' the other week- time has not been kind to Paul Nicholas.

I used to want to slap Penny in 'Just Good friends'- in fact, I never really saw the appeal of the programme, it was always on people's favourite sitcom lists, like 'Only Fools and Horses'- but I thought both were rubbish!

Sparklingbrook · 21/03/2012 18:20

OOh Raahh I hate Only Fools and Horses. It ain't funny. I think we are in the minority sadly. Sad

Raahh · 21/03/2012 18:31

It was on in the afternoons a few months back- i never really realised what a pile of racist, homophobic, sexist, non-funny crap OFAH was. Whilst pretendingnot to be. I'm surprised it was repeated, really, but it has got a 'classic' comedy status. But so much of it just reminded me of 'Mind your Language'- and that will NEVER be repeated (rightly).

Sparklingbrook · 21/03/2012 18:32

That bit where Delboy falls through the bar-hilarious. Apparently. Confused

Raahh · 21/03/2012 18:34

But OFAH- connect s nicely with Doctors, as Nicholas Lyndhurst was in 'Just the two of us' with Janet Dibley. It's like 6 degrees of separation, or something. Every programme, evermade connects to 'Doctors' somehow....maybe ...Grin

i loved 'My Hero'- it was just daft, but harmless.

JD has always beena bit smug- she was in eastenders too, and was smug in that. Iloved Nicholas Lyndhurst in 'Goodnight Sweetheart' though, and'Butterflies' (although the bloke who played his brother was farseier, in 70's sitcomway- notthati noticedthat, as i was about 8 at the time!Blush)

Raahh · 21/03/2012 19:39

And zukie- you are very welcome in the 'we hate OFAH' clubGrin
