Think it's in the top 10 of weird Doctors stories!

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 16/03/2012 20:12

More 'bewildered viewers' than fans HJ, Grin I'm glad there a quite a few of us.

Raahh · 16/03/2012 21:05

My name is Raahh. I am addicted to 'Doctors' except during Wimbledon, as I am addicted to that too

it has to be the most costly, least effective, practise in the NHS! They take 'physician, heal thyself at the expense of the actual patients' a bit too farGrin

Babysamrocks · 16/03/2012 21:52

Another addict here, been watching it for years. Moira out of Emmerdale was one of the Doctors years ago anyone remember her? It's filmed near to where I live, we pass 'The Mill' everyday on the school run!

madhairday · 16/03/2012 21:54

They take Doctors off during Wimbledon Raahh Grin

Ah yes, Nick now rings a bell, a very dull and insignificant half remembered bell, but still, a bell.

Sounds like I didn't miss much today, did Jack get it on with that American girl or did Karen walk in half way through?

Cor dear, it's scintilating stuff allright!

Raahh · 17/03/2012 11:17

madhair- I know they doGrin- what i meant was i replace one addiction with anotherGrin
As to the american girl, Imogen walked in on them, but by then the AG had spotted jack's bankstatement, showing how overdrawn he was. So she set about setting him up (talking about his house in Paris to Imogen etc).

Then she and her flatmate had googled him, found all the stuff about how he helped catch the murderer/copper- and invited him round, pretending the laptop was broken. But it was just to show him they knew who he wasand humiliate him. But AG is obviously not really rich, either. Then I went out, so doubt anything earth shattering happened in th elast 5 minuteGrin

Not sure how the Sally/Patrick/Julia intervention ended, thoughConfused

boohoohoo · 17/03/2012 11:29

There was an episode a couple of weeks ago about Kevin lying to get out of some trouble with a mix up of names with some girls, and the whole episode jack sprouted on to him about telling the truth, and now he's doing exactly the same.

I'm ashamed to say I love doctors but please get rid of Cherry, she's a miserable control freak.

Surely the whole kevin/Freya relationship is going to start up again soon, then they could get rid of Mandy, perhaps her and cherry could run of together.

jandymaccomesback · 17/03/2012 11:50

Remember that young doctor (Melody/Melanie?) who now advertises Sun Bingo? Is that a step up or down the career ladder?

Raahh · 17/03/2012 11:58

Cherry is annoying- although it was interesting seeing her parents- I love it when actors are 're-used' and we are supposed to forget they have been in it beforeGrin- Cherry's mum has been in it a couple of years ago- think she had a thing for Heston, but can't find the episode. Lynne Howard has aged wellGrin.

Raahh · 17/03/2012 11:59

Melody! She was wet as lettuceSmile. Think it may be a slightly sideways move!Grin

We need a Doctors Omnibus at the weekend. I can not understand what's going on for a second time. Grin

Really, Zukiecat- that's really interesting, re- Chloe.

An Omnibus would be great. I mean, most weekend tv is made up of repeats anyway- an omnibus of Doctors would fit right in!

'Doctors' is just brilliant, to plonk in front of, whilst the kids are running riot. Brain cells are not required. It would make a change from 'Justin's House'

HJisgoingtogoBOOM · 17/03/2012 22:36

Do you all watch Casualty too?

Ineedadollar · 17/03/2012 22:37

Yes.. And Holby Blush

Sparklingbrook · 18/03/2012 07:20

No I don't watch Casualty or Holby. I prefer my medical dramas with no patients. Wink

HJisgoingtogoBOOM · 18/03/2012 08:18

Ah I dont do Holby cos dh is usually in but I do like casualty!

madhairday · 18/03/2012 11:31

Ah yes, Casualty and Holby for me too

And Gray's Anatomy Grin

And HOuse...

Raah was the mum of Cherry (she from Howards Way) the Wine Buff who lured poor innocent Heston into a swingers party?

Raahh · 18/03/2012 16:08

I'm not sure- I don't think she was in it long (it mayeven have been i episode).

And thanks to this thread, I had a dream last night where I was proposed to by a bloke who looked like a cross between Heston and Giles BrandrethHmmBlushGrin

I also LOVE Holby- but went off Casualty a long time ago. I used to watch it when it was consistently on at 8 on a saturday night. Then the lottery started, and ithas been all over the place ever since.

Raahh · 18/03/2012 16:09

one episode

I am having big probswith my laptop today- dd2 has attacked the space bar with something stickyHmm

jandymaccomesback · 18/03/2012 16:59

I stopped watching Casualty when pregnant with DS3 (he's 17!). It used to give me nightmares. I do watch Holby though.

FiteFuaite · 18/03/2012 17:09

What was the Doctor with big ears called- the one with the annoying daughter, Emily. Was he Joe? I liked him. His daughter was a terrible actress (bother incarnations!)

Oh I loved Joe!! And his daughter was in a wannabe BNTM,afair. I love when 2 programmes I watch collide Grin

Doctors is so shite at the mo,though...I can't stand Cherry, the policeman and his family annoy me,esp Karen's husky/throaty delivery,I do love Heston as once upon a time I knew his real life wife ;) (not in a sexual way,I hasten to add Grin ) Whatever happened to Mrs Tembe's lodger? I liked him.

Raahh · 18/03/2012 17:42

Oh, I remember her in BNTM! Rachel, iirc. She did quite well, but was hated by the other contestants (think sheused to read her bible at photo shootsGrin).
She also turned up in one episode of 'Waterloo road' (Iknow, i know- ther's shit tv, and then there's shit tvGrin)- as an aspiring model, no less. She must have been a good 10 years too old for the part!
