Tracey & Steve, what happens now?

They got married so does this mean that Tracey is now entitled to half his worth? He's just bought the house and hasn't sold the pub and then there is the taxi co and the flat above. I'm guessing he can't annul? This is presumably how they are going to string it out

agree advent candle's idea is great abt the 2 pgs... used to be glued to Corrie, but haven't seen it for a coupla years, till re-started watching a few weeks ago - so still trying to peice together who has done what - the comedy characters are still great tho' - Julie and the HM are priceless, and Becky and Kylie brilliant actresses.
was tryin to eplain to DS how it is prefect classical drama, unity of space time and action, catharsis, pity and terror, the audience knowing what will befall characters, the confidant asking questions on beahlf of the audience etc...

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 28/01/2012 14:33

Edith - jst realised what you meant :-)

Panzee · 28/01/2012 14:38

I think the two pregnancies thing would be ace. (as much as I'm hating this storyline). He's managed to marriages at the same time, so why not?

LineRunner · 28/01/2012 16:27

That's what I find bewildering about the Peter storyline. The man is a former bigamist. Everyone knows this. One of his ex-wives ran the Rovers. But there's intelligent Carla 'in love' with him, having an affair with him, Leanne unsuspectingly besotted with him.

He's not that irresistible.

Or is it just me?

Nice point about the Greek drama, MrsGuy. If only the programme makers would let the writers stick to their revered tradition. Some of the scenes and plots of late look interfered-with.

NiceViper · 28/01/2012 16:35

I liked Ken's line to Tracy "everything just bounces off yo like radiation off a cockroach".

Hate, hate, hate her moving into Steve's house. He'll have to get her out, or move out himself else he won't get that annulment.

If he goes anywhere near her again, I think I'll be giving up on Corrie. So where can she or he go until this foul storyline is resolved? I

I hope it means Steve back properly in The Rovers, and less of Stella and Carl, as they just don't fit and are ever more irritating. Deirdre, a long term resident, ignoring her mates and "confiding" in Stella who gives out a load of superficial old twaddle as advice. FFS, producers, show you audience a little respect and do better than this.

ChippingInLovesEasterEggs · 28/01/2012 16:44

I hope Steve gets an annulment. I was hoping him and Becky would get back together, they are so good together, but now KK has said she's going to Hollywood that's not on the cards.

I wish they'd write Tracey out of it, Carla would piss off, Peter/Leanne/Simon would be a happy family, whatshisface would get convicted of raping Carla & something would make Stupid Sally see sense - get rid of him & go back to Kevin where they would raise baby Jack together.

Him & Her in the pub need to go - it doesn't work.

LineRunner · 28/01/2012 16:49

I do agree. I'm afraid I just can't warm to Stella and Carl. There is no comedy in their relationship, there is no interesting friction, just 'love' this and 'love' that, with Stella's accent increasingly unconvincing and brittle.

LikeAnAdventCandleButNotQuite · 28/01/2012 21:30

Much as I like Leanne, and Jane Danson plays her brilliantly, I want Peter to leave her, I cant abide Peter, especially with his noisy freaking leather jacket can barely hear his lines it's that loud. I would like him to end up with Carla as Leanne really deserves better (cheating aside and all). He does seem to have taken leave of his fatherly senses...didn't even ask about Simon's parent's evening after his meeting with Carla...wonder why Leanne didn't pick him up on that.

I actually like Stella Blush. I think the character's need someone unattached to go to to discuss things, and I suppose why wouldn't you pick the woman who can throw in a free bottle of wine while you bear your soul?

Loving Steve....maybe he and Michelle could end up back together?

Have Fizz, Chesney, Maria and Audrey gone on some sort of holiday together? They've not been in it for about a century.

hocuspontas · 28/01/2012 21:38

I can't believe Frank's going to get off! Hate him and Sally.

NiceViper · 28/01/2012 21:42

Steve will lose the clear cut case for an annulment if he lets her stay under the "marital" roof with him. Either he boots her straight out, moves immediately elsewhere himself, or has to face the possibility that staying in the same house will be construed as accepting her and then the only way out is divorce.

cambridgeferret · 28/01/2012 22:17

Bring back Brian Tilsley I say.

thenightsky · 28/01/2012 22:18

Brian is dead.

Isn't he?

LineRunner · 28/01/2012 22:18

Stabbed.

cambridgeferret · 28/01/2012 22:19

Never stopped Bobby Ewing though :)

LineRunner · 28/01/2012 22:26

As long as Ivy Tilsley stays six feet under.

NiceViper · 29/01/2012 08:56

Perhaps the shade of Samir should stalk the cobbles now...

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 29/01/2012 09:06

He might want his kidney back!

hocuspontas · 29/01/2012 12:43

Just watching the omnibus and reaalised that Robert Vaughan's in it! What a comedown from The Man from U.N.C.L.E!

JiltedJohnsJulie · 29/01/2012 16:37

Agree that him and her in the pub really don't work, her accent is awful and his is more Ideal than Corrie, keep thinking that Jonny Vegas is going to wonder in and start dealing.

NiceViper · 29/01/2012 16:44

They don't fit the Rovers at all, do they? And the confidante role is just too contrived - the characters have their existing (and long lasting) friends to be their confidantes, or Hayley as the figure who has built up that role as reliable, sympathetic, non-judgemental, sensible and discreet over many years.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 29/01/2012 16:50

There's no chemistry, or any other obvious reason for Stella and Carl to be together is there? Well, there is for him, he appears to sponge off her, but why on earth would she stick with him?

LineRunner · 29/01/2012 16:53

Stella's accent is now really grating on me. Every time she opens her mouth I keep waiting for it to go wrong.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 29/01/2012 17:09

Think they've also missed a trick in not sending Roy and Hales out on holiday to visit Becky.

theliverpoolone · 29/01/2012 19:53

Deidre's confidante was always Liz though, who's not there any more, or maybe Eileen, who's a bit preoccupied at the mo Grin, so I wasnt that surprised that she ended up confiding in Stella. Wish Blanche was still there to add her twopen'orth.

BrightnessFalls · 29/01/2012 23:01

I dont like the Eileen storyline and I dont like the firemans hair.

Surely the affair will come out this week?
