Does anyone on mn watch Neighbours? I need to register my disgust of Mal Kennedy

I know, I know, but Neighbours is the only soap I watch, my one guilty pleasure. I'm catching up online at the moment and can't believe how hideous Mal is, sleazy and needy over Jade and being a horrid married man. Does anyone else watch this crap programme to the extent they feel the need to comment on any of the characters as if they were actually real people?

You're right about Kate, anonacfr and mulledwine - her behaviour about Summer's folio was sickening. Though I was a bit perplexed - initially Andrew said he couldn't delete the relevant portion, because it left a noticeable jump in the footage - but that means he could just have deleted that bit, and then explained away the jump in the footage ("I was trying something out with that bit of footage, just to see what I could do, and it all went wrong so I deleted it - but it was just footage of the wall, with nothing happening") and then Summer would still have had all of the rest of the footage, which would have been plenty for her folio.

But when it came to the crunch, it was all or nothing - that doesn't add up, for me. Doesn't exonerate Kate, though - she didn't give a stuff about Summer's future, as long as hers was OK. It will serve her right when it all comes out.

The only possible explaination for kate's popularity on the neighbours aussie forum is that they are of an age to still love her from her days in the preteen "Sleepover Club" program.

My theory on the character is that they wanted a new "young female character" and a new "middle-aged female" character but couldnt afford two actresses so they created a hybrid.

I have no explaination at all for why so many guys fall for her though.

She is the most annoying person on neighbours since Didge died. How can you qualify to be a teacher in a year? How has she had so many fit boyfriends? Ive a feeling it's Sophie that blabs. She looks better since the haircut! Oh and clearly all australians don't love Shiney as the wardrobe department must hate her.

Yes she must have irrevocably offended the entire wardrobe department before she even started.

Old Declan was injured and has had to be discharged from the army, while training, so if a Declan returns at any stage it may be him. I would not want him to return if it meant making Kate more of a permanent fixture on the street though.

I recall Libby leaving Erinsborough for a good while, after her affair with a student, so fingers crossed for Kate. Sophie can always move in with the Kennedys.

I think your theory about Sophie blabbing is good, FrillyMilly. She'd be so furious and upset that Kate had kissed the boy she has a crush on - she's be bound to blurt it out.

And yes - Callum is very annoying too - but I have a feeling that he is going to get well and truly caught on having dumped his papers. Sonya looked very suspicious when she was asking him about it, and I don't think she is going to let it rest. Maybe it will give Toadie the reality check he needs about the way he's ignoring his family because of this new job. He definitely needs to be running his store-front law firm in Erinsborough again - he's not cut out for the cut throat world of corporate law, imo.

Summer may also blab due to her sense of righteousness. Possibly to Susan, which would make for painful tv.

compared to Kate, Sidge and her terrible mother(I like Steve) were wonderful.

I heart neighbours but it is annoying me so much right now. Particularly Summer stressing about her exam, Kate being a bitch as usual, the shopping centre story. Why of why can I not stop watching?
