Mine:

Brothers & Sisters - I was obsessed with this show from the very first episode and may or may not have shed a tear when I found out it was ending after five seasons. I didn't like the ending, it seemed rushed and story lines were left hanging. Twats.

Friends - Of course. Who didn't love Friends?

Accidentally On Purpose - I'm pretty sure this was cut after the first season so can't have been very popular but I loved it!

Without A Trace - My favourite crime drama, I was devastated when it ended. Why couldn't they have taken NCIS?! Why Without A Trace?!

Angry Angry

Your turn...

Zen.

Can't beleive they didn't decommission this when there's so much tripe on.

PattySimcox · 11/11/2011 23:23

As a child I loved CATS EYES and wanted to drive an XR3 like Leslie Ash.

This Life was unmissable but very much of it's time.

Spitting Image was so witty, nothing comes close these days.

And more latterly I am still sad at the ending of Spooks

paddingtonbear1 · 11/11/2011 23:27

Another vote for Flash Forward. We watched all the episodes, then they went and cancelled it without finishing it off !
Was also sorry when Waking the Dead finished.

MustControlFistOfDeath · 11/11/2011 23:28

Malcolm in the Middle

Butterflies - oh how I loved Russell Grin

paddingtonbear1 · 11/11/2011 23:40

Just read through some earlier posts - Kingdom Hospital! I'd forgotten all about that!

MelinaM · 12/11/2011 00:16

Brothers & Sisters for me tooAngry I LOVED that show!

Cold Feet

Ugly BettySad

Friends

Will & Grace

ER ...far superior to that Holby rubbish!!!

Party of Five ...ummm BaileyBlush

SATC ...SO should have stuck with the series, the films were not a patch on it!!!

Cheers ...amazing, and had the lovely Frasier in it to, which leads me nicely on to...

...Frasier

Ally McBeal ...how I miss the BW dance!

This Life

Life Unexpected ...yes more American drivel but I liked it!

GILMORE GIRLS!!!! SadSadSad Why, just why?????Angry

seasalt · 12/11/2011 00:22

I loved Flash Forward too.

Zacsbird · 13/11/2011 00:05

Noel's house party, seriously it was a staple of my Sat night in the 90's!

Flash Forward, absolutely loved it to the point I watched the finale at 2am after getting back from holiday.

Erm apart from that nothing, I really don't usually do the american drama's, too much time and effort.

Zacsbird · 13/11/2011 00:09

Ohh ok, Cold Feet and This Life. But I think they both ended at the right time. Would love Cold Feet to have a revival though.

aliciaflorrick · 13/11/2011 08:47

Journeyman that was really good got pulled after 12 episodes and I liked the Dresden Files too - being pulled got me into the books though.

witherhills · 13/11/2011 09:03

There was episode of journeyman where he went back in time to when his DS was a baby in his cot and had a cuddle. The baby had a sleepsuit exactly the same as one of my DS. I bawled.

wildstrawberryplace · 13/11/2011 11:25

The Wire - best telly EVER, but kind of see why it couldn't continue
Wallander - the swedish one, even after they killed Stefan
Deadwood - at least two more seasons there easily (cocksuckers!)
Sopranos - so good I would have loved it to carry on for years and years
Bonekickers - yes, it was silly but jolly japes and I loved it nonetheless and was gutted it finished

and

Zen - why? It was so much better than loads of other crap at BBC drama and it had the beautiful, wry, funny and achingly cool Rufus Sewell in it. Very Angry about that one!

wildstrawberryplace · 13/11/2011 11:26

Oh yeah, and I would like another series of The Mighty Boosh, please. More Howard Moon!

DressingGownQueen · 13/11/2011 11:47

Gilmore Girls. I bloody love that show. I watched it when I was pregnant with dd and stupid as it is it really made me believe that being a young single parent would be okay Blush The last series did start to lose their way a bit though. I didn't like how Loreli started becoming so dependent on men and TBH Rory was a bit annoying.

Friends. I think that it needed to end though. 10 series is enough really.

Arrested development. WHY WHY WHY??? I adore that programme.

complexnumber · 13/11/2011 12:56

I like funny detective shows like Psych and Monk, I really enjoyed The Good Guys, which got pulled after one season.

I too fear for Terra Nova. Gorgeous as he is Jason O'Mara is the kiss of death to any show you want to last more than one season.

Voidka · 13/11/2011 13:40

Rose and Maloney. I dont think there has been anything official, but ITV havent done a series for about 5 years now.

Voidka · 13/11/2011 13:41

Oh and Will and Grace. I love Karen Blush

smilerc · 13/11/2011 15:08

Wow, there are so many good shows mentioned. Before I give my list Haven and Falling Skies (alien show with Carter from ER) have both been renewed. No news on Terra Nova yet. Surely, too much money has been spent on it to cancel it. Fingers crossed!

I loved Brothers and Sisters
Men in Trees
Friends
This Life
Invasion
Party of five
My So Called Life
Firefly (although get my Nathan Fillion fix on Castle)
ER
Cold Feet
No Ordinary Family

And those are just the ones I can remember!

Law & order I was & am still gutted that got cancelled.
Cold case - thank goodness for all the re-runs .
Friends though I think it was time but I would like Rachel to have gone to Paris.
Murder in suburbia - very light hearted.

I'm sure I'll think of more.

EverybodysScaryEyed · 13/11/2011 21:14

A lot of the ones mentioned had run their course unfortunately

the ones i felt had more life in them are

cold case
without a trace
The Unit

gaelicsheep · 13/11/2011 21:19

So glad someone mentioned Eldorado! It was a great piece of escapism and vastly improved before it was cancelled. Sad

gaelicsheep · 13/11/2011 21:20

Also, Two Thousand Acres of Skye - loved it.

And a question, why on earth don't they re-run some of these BBC series? Or at least release them on DVD?

mrsshears · 13/11/2011 21:31

Blind date!!!
Bring it back!

Magneto · 13/11/2011 21:40

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Medium
Life on Mars (not so much Ashes to Ashes)

and randomly I would really love to watch Wish You Were Here again, I loved that show when I was little!

DH is mad they cancelled Farscape, can't say I am tbh Wink
