Mine:

Brothers & Sisters - I was obsessed with this show from the very first episode and may or may not have shed a tear when I found out it was ending after five seasons. I didn't like the ending, it seemed rushed and story lines were left hanging. Twats.

Friends - Of course. Who didn't love Friends?

Accidentally On Purpose - I'm pretty sure this was cut after the first season so can't have been very popular but I loved it!

Without A Trace - My favourite crime drama, I was devastated when it ended. Why couldn't they have taken NCIS?! Why Without A Trace?!

Angry Angry

Your turn...

Sunset Beach. Was hilarious - the shaky sets and outlandish plots. Who could forget the turkey baster plot? And Derek's evil brother Grin Grin

LadyBeagleEyes · 16/11/2011 09:34

Does anybody remember Tutti Fruitti with Robbie Coltrane and Emma Thomson?
It was a very short series and so good, but was never repeated.

fastweb · 16/11/2011 13:10

Weird sci-fi one that no one else has probably seen Defying Gravity, so many questions unanswered that never will be, waah

Seconded.

I was so gutted when it was just chopped off like that.

tefal · 16/11/2011 13:36

Sunset Beach
Dirty Sexy Money
ER

verytellytubby · 16/11/2011 14:18

Oh my god I'm gutted about Private Practice Sad I have a crush on Addison. Fingers crossed she rejoins Grey's Anatomy Smile

I miss Soldier Soldier. I used to love it. I also thought Jericho was great and had a few more series left.

Toobluntforboss · 16/11/2011 15:13

Private practice and Army Wives are still on in the States, but no-one seems to show them here anymore - v annoying!Envy

idlingabout · 16/11/2011 16:38

I will miss Spooks - especially after they brough back Tom for a couple of seconds at the end.
I would love ER to come back. Perhaps they could re-set it wherever 'Doug Ross' moved to.
Agree with everyone about Thirtysomething; loved it at the time but it does seem slightly dated. They could make it Fiftysomething for my generation.

Going way back , I think it is time they brought back Z-cars complete with theme tune!

mrsjay · 17/11/2011 20:01

has to be lost 5 seasons i gave to that programme just for it to finish with a really cheesy ending that meant NOTHING (im still not over it ) however i did cry buckets and i do miss it Sad

steviesmith · 17/11/2011 20:10

Freaks and Geeks, fantastic American high school drama although I was long past being a teenager when it was on.

I also agree about The Wire. One of the things I'd do if I could reverse time would be watch the Wire again.

brighthair · 17/11/2011 23:34

Survivors
Dollhouse
Buffy
Angel (seeing a Whedon theme here?!)
Tru Calling

Lillies, set in Liverpool just after Great War.Really good stories and acting.Bet if it came post Downton it would have been kept.Written by Heidi Thomas, who does new Upstairs Downstairs.
Oh,and Island At War,about the channel islands occupation.

An0therName · 17/02/2012 21:23

I think ending before outstaying welcome is normally the best - eg West Wing I loved it but I think it was the right time to end - and the Wire was amazing too much the last series was getting a bit silly my view
This Life - although was a great ending
Party Animals - so so good-

beesknobblyknees · 17/02/2012 21:27

SweetestThing · 19/02/2012 21:59

Think almost all of mine have been mentioned (ER, Green Wing, Bad Girls, Ashes to Ashes etc) but I remember a series that was on in late 80s called "Rockliffe's Babies", about rookie police officers and their tough, but benevolent, boss. Anyone else remember that?

southeastastra · 19/02/2012 22:00

mad men seems to have gone awol Angry

Housewife2010 · 19/02/2012 22:16

Lillies was fab. I live in Liverpool so it was great seeing the local landmarks like The Palm House & Turner House in the programme.
On a trashy level I loved Bad Girls & Footballer's Wives too. I'll miss Desperate Housewives.

rhondajean · 19/02/2012 22:20

Mulberry
Nip tuck
Probably a lot more...I'll think

RoxyRobin · 19/02/2012 22:26

Bodies - Keith Allen was brilliant.

ProPerformer · 19/02/2012 22:37

Wire in the blood - It had some of ITV's highest ratings, the production company and writers had loads more ideas and yet ITV decided not to commission a 7th series!?!?! Was one of the best programmes ever!

Also, not the same thing (as the show itself continued for another 5 series, though declined in quality) I wish the Helen/Nikki story line had continued, or at least been alluded to, in later (post series 3) Bad Girls episodes. That storyline made the programme and it wasn't the same afterwards. I know it was because the actresses (at least Simone) didn't really want to do more BG but..... Ahh well....

AmIthatbad · 20/02/2012 00:09

yy to Rockliffe's Babies. Brilliant theme tune.

And a BBC drama called Cops, which had Julie from Corrie playing a drug taking young PC. That was good,

And I miss Senifeld - serenity now Grin

SoTiredoftheWheelsontheBus · 20/02/2012 04:07

Firefly, Caprica and V were all cancelled too early.

The West Wing, Buffy (currently working my way through the box set) and Battlestar Galactica were all favourites that ended naturally
