TV box sets - are there any I have missed?

TV is crap. Currently existing on box sets of Dexter and the L word (an interesting combination Hmm )

Are there any new series that I should be watching, any that I have missed? I can't have worked my way through all of the decent box sets, can I?

I have seen all of these:
ER
West Wing
The Good Wife
Six Feet Under
Dexter
L Word
House
Battlestar Gallactica
Stargate (SG-1, Atlantis and Universe)
Buffy
Angel

I have The Wire waiting for me on my Love Film list.. seems to be the last of the big series.

(I clearly have far too much time on my hands... there are others but can't recall them at the moment)

Fringe, Modern Family, Firefly, have you watched Spooks from the beginning?

CailinDana · 10/11/2011 09:50

Community - a silly sitcom type thing, but it's really really funny.
Boardwalk Empire
30 rock is great
Firefly
The Closer
Burn Notice

Can't say I enjoyed Breaking Bad (sorry LowLevel) and I think 24 is utter shit.

Staverton · 10/11/2011 09:51

Spooks
Downton abbey
Grays anatomy
Outnumbered
Waking the dead
Silent witness

Staverton · 10/11/2011 09:53

If you enjoyed True Blood and Misfits then I would def recommend The Fades and Being Human. Both gripping and funny in equal measure. The Fades was one of the things that DH and I enjoyed most on TV this year - and all the better for being so unexpectedly good. I recommended to some friends who ended up watching the whole thing in one go on the iplayer as they loved it so much!

The Walking Dead is unrelentingly scary and very well acted. Not many laughs though.....

peanutbuttercupcake · 10/11/2011 09:59

Lost...I loved it!! Also second bones, Grays, house and 24 Grin

MissPenteuth · 10/11/2011 10:00

Life (Damien Lewis, not David Attenborough)
Supernatural
Band of Brothers
Arrested Development
Sons of Anarchy
Castle

EightiesChick · 10/11/2011 10:01

Lost divides people a bit. I watched the whole thing but didn't ultimately like what they did with it. My picks

The Wire - best series EVER. Get onto it asap
Mad Men - also very, very good, in a v different way

peanutbuttercupcake · 10/11/2011 10:02

Also American horror story has just started on fx, first episode was excellent, may be worth trying?

BlueNails · 10/11/2011 10:04
