Perhaps?

Gather round...

OP posts:
Raahh · 03/10/2011 12:21

I think I read somewhere that the person who was in charge of a lot of the staging last year isn't back this year. That can only be a good thing- some of the sets last year were scary!

Raahh · 03/10/2011 12:23

and I agree the groups are very samey- why have a category, invite auditionees, and then make up your own every year?

megapixels · 03/10/2011 12:58

Do you mean the Brian F something guy? He's the choreographer isn't he? He seems to have flown over for X-Factor USA so someone else has probably taken over here.

SurprisEs · 03/10/2011 13:03

I've been watching the U.S. Xfactor and he's definitly on there.

I agree, it takes away from the purpose of an audition. Let's just walk around the mall and find 4 cute guys and stick them together would have been the same approach.

Davros · 03/10/2011 16:50

I quite liked Jade, she has a good voice but she was just another in a long line up of big belters (so is Sami). Also, regardless of her size, she looked vile. Awful hair and make-up, holes under her bottom lip and hideous tattoos on her legs, don't people think about these things?!

gregssausageroll · 03/10/2011 18:57

That is quite harsh Davros. The same could be said for most of the girls with make up, eyeliner, orange skin and bleached hair.

If facebook is to be believed, Jade was on train to London on Saturday for the live shows. Not sure in what context though. Wildcards have been mentioned but I am not sure given that Tulisa split 2 groups up because she didn't think they were good enough.

HazeltheMcWitch · 03/10/2011 19:21

No idea if Brian is back this year on UK X-Factor, but the person Raah was ra-ferring to is Grace Woodward, who was the stylist, and responsible for Weasel's helmet-of-hair and the ghost-frizz, amongst other horrors.

She also dated Matt Cardle for a bit, was a judge on Britain and Ireland's next top model, and slagged off Alexandra Burke on Twitter recently. And I can confirm to you that she is indeed, a prize bitch.

SuePurblybilt · 03/10/2011 19:30

Stylist? For those Cosby Show Cardigans and shiny tuxedos? And yes, the Weasel helmet? She is clearly bonkers.

Brian Friedman is the dancer chap, isn't he? Wears his hoody up indoors, like a thin and sinister Louis-from-Pineapple (whom I luff muchly). Bit of a tit.

figgygal · 03/10/2011 19:31

I like kitty's voice I like big strong belting voices Like treyc last year am glad she's gone thru.
I really not a fan of the Janet style voice like vickers and the weasel before her I actually switch her off when she sings.

gregssausageroll · 03/10/2011 19:40

Digital spy is guessing that the twist on Saturday will be 1 wildcard place with the phone lines opening for the public to decide.

LadyBeagleEyes · 03/10/2011 19:44

They've got three new stylists this year.

Janet is only 16.

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 03/10/2011 21:45

I saw the style team on this morning (while in the gym, honest), the make up lady was hilarious.

I don't see how being 16 is a defence for being affected and irritating. I was both at 16, and more.

Raahh · 04/10/2011 20:07

Ahh, but as she is only 16, we will not be allowed to criticise her, as she is just a child one who willingly put herself forward for the competition. So we cannot accuse her of having a slightly irritating voice, or being a tad affected in her delivery, or we are being mean, because she is only 16.

Will be like Clagnut all over again.

Raahh · 04/10/2011 20:08

(Janet does have more talent in her false eyelashes than claggy had though)Grin

SuePurblybilt · 04/10/2011 20:10

True, true, Raah.

In fact, we should stop bitching altogether. These are people you know. They have mothers. And possibly small pets. We should celebrate them and say only nice things.

Yes, we should be nice. Especially to Kitty, because she is mis understood....Grin

LadyBeagleEyes · 04/10/2011 20:17

I must admit that I was going down the only 16 line as my ds is only 16, so initially I thought aww.
But she's just so much more irratating than him or any of his pals (male or female).
I'm sure she doesn't read mumsnet anyway.

SuePurblybilt · 04/10/2011 20:19

Do let's be nice to Kitty. Let's buy her soap and help her focus.

Raahh · 04/10/2011 20:24

pmsl@ Janet reading mn.

I like Janet, but i think she will have limited appeal- i like Diana Vickers, and they soon ran out of things to do with her. I wish they would let her look a bit more natural, but they always go ott in styling these things.

And Kitty just needs medicating a friend

SuePurblybilt · 04/10/2011 20:30

I'd like to teach the world to sing la la la

How fecking apt.
