Gather round...

Gutted Jade didn't get through. Like the rumour about an ex-judge getting a wildcard category. that would be amazing!

Am feeling smug, as most of my predictions were right. Had to watch with DH, as he has decided to like it now the auditionsa are over. missed the banter. Stole lots of jokes from here and passed them off as my own though.

SESthebrave · 02/10/2011 21:53

Can't believe Joe didn't go through :(
I reckon it will be two shoes or Rythmix to go in the first week.

HaveaLittleFaithBaby - I'm loving your suggestion for the twist!

Shame we didn't see more of the Robbie / Barry double act this evening -that was a highlight for me last night!

lisad123 · 02/10/2011 21:54

I so wanted Jade in!! Shock how can she have chosen Sophie boring knickers, over her!!
Kitty is crazy and clearly has issues, but think Louis has clearly lost the plot this time!
Gary picked best of an ok ish bunch, and groups just arent exciting me :(

LeBOF · 02/10/2011 21:55

Jade in The Keys? Really? Shock

OP posts:
PotPourri · 02/10/2011 21:56

Is the keys one of the homemade groups?

LaVitaBellissima · 02/10/2011 21:59

LeBof I've seen a photo of her with them, think they are called Keystar.

Not sure if it's through X factor or they've done it themselves Confused

LaVitaBellissima · 02/10/2011 22:01

The keys were the band that auditioned and Garry called Charlie the lead singer, a little Mark Owen. Tulisa took the Charlie out of their band though and put him into The Risk.

LaVitaBellissima · 02/10/2011 22:05

check this out

PotPourri · 02/10/2011 22:11

Just had a google and she was teamed up with them and a couple of others at boot camp so maybe that is the picture you saw? Also saw on stv page 20 mins ago that Keystar UK an organisation that nurtures unsigned talent might pick her up.

Ah well, time mwill tell

VivaLeBeaver · 02/10/2011 22:23

E had this last year with Gamu, we all thought shed be brought back as a wildcard but she wasn't. I don't think jade will be back either.

Apparently, one of Two Shoes is 8 months pregnant.

LeBOF · 02/10/2011 23:21

Not quite, but she will be by the final. I can't see them lasting that long.

OP posts:
SurprisEs · 03/10/2011 10:27

I like 2Shoes. Hope they do well and hope she has a good pregnancy :)

SuePurblybilt · 03/10/2011 10:43

Emma -Jade = Badger. Janet = Pointless Pixie

HTH.

shineynewthings · 03/10/2011 10:53

BOTH jade and Janet are great. Why hate on Janet just because Jade didn't get through? I would not have liked to have been kelly since all the girls were great, unlike last year. They all deserved a place. It's not about who's a better singer this year as they were all good and all different, rather who is stronger characterwise and who is more likely to have longevity and be capable of musical diversity.

sailorsgal · 03/10/2011 11:06

I think the girl's category was difficult. I liked both Jade and Janet.

electra · 03/10/2011 11:17

I can't believe Louis had the audacity to put Goldie through in favour of Sammy - there must be a conspiracy to put someone rubbish through every year now. It's an insult to the genuinely talented.

By the way does anyone think Kitty is talented because I can't see it myself and just wondering if I'm clueless.

I think Janet has an amazing voice - I'd have been sad if she wasn't chosen.

higgle · 03/10/2011 11:22

There were an awful lot of rather overweight contestants this time and boys with horid haircuts etc. I know they do make-overs but surely those who want to go into the glossy fickle world of show business know that physical appearance counts for a lot (I'm not saying it should) which at least in part explains why Rihanna is sucessful and Michelle McManus is not. If it is "all I've ever wanted...." to the contestants how come they have not thought to get themselves into shape for it? It is not just physique - John had the most repulsive haircut I can imagine and I just couldn't imagine anyone voting for him no matter how great his voice was. Jade didn't look as if she had made any effort with her appearance at all - you can't expect to make the grade as potential pop star material if you go about looking like you work in the chippie. ( Harsh, unfair, but true)

LottieJenkins · 03/10/2011 11:24

Miaooooooooooooooow at higgle The judges always say it isnt about the size etc (they said this especially to Sami when she mentioned her own look to them). Its no wonder people have issues about how they look when they read comments like yours!!!!

SurprisEs · 03/10/2011 11:27

Adele must be 8 stone and I haven't noticed, silly me.

Kitty can sing, but there is being extravagant and creative and ten there is being OTT and repulsive. I really can't get myself to like her. But that is why they put her on the show, to cause controversy and up ratings. She's showbusiness (unfortunatly)

Raahh · 03/10/2011 11:54

the new BBC show 'The Voice' is meant to be all about how looks don't matter, and the voice is the main thing. Yet the cynic in me still thinks someone with the right 'image' will win.

I have no idea what Jade did to herself between the auditions, and judges houses, but she did look a fright. But there was no doubt she could sing. She was in a strong category though. I want the stylist to chuck away all the black eyeliner/mascara- they all look clumpy eyed and mucky.

I am not keen on Janet- I thought I liked her, but I think she will start to get boring. There are only so many songs they can pick that will suit her voice (as they found with The Claw).

The reason Gamu wasn't re-instated last year was down to visa issues, and the fact she was on the brink of being deported. Poor Trey-C (remember her) was bought back instead- and despite having a far better voive that Clagnut and Weasel, was treated quite poorly by her so called mentor, who made it clear where her loyalties lay.

I want the twist to be that having picked their final 4, all the judges get their categories swapped around. Actually- it would be good if they all got one act from each category. I like that idea...

SurprisEs · 03/10/2011 12:01

The eyeliner does look mucky. Ughh

Quite like the idea of the judges swapping categories but I think both Kelly and Garry suit the groups they're in. So not 100% sure.

Raahh · 03/10/2011 12:10

I agree about Kelly and Gary- Tulisa doesn't seem to really click with her category, the groups are a bit of a mixed bag. Louis and the overs are made for each other!

SurprisEs · 03/10/2011 12:13

The problem I have with the groups is that most of the groups have been put together during the show and all look alike. Very boring.

Louis does suit the overs I think. I can't wait to see what he makes of Johnny. Sometimes Louis can go over the top, hope he doesn't do t with him.

Poor Storm or whatever his name was, he ruined the guys chances!
