Me! I was just about to start this thread but you beat me to it.

I am a bit shocked actually. Some of these kids seem feral...

Feargalthecat · 22/09/2011 21:16

Me! Liking it already, the girl with the head teacher is so like Catherine Tate's Lauren character, the kids seem to give far more lip than when I was at school thought

ShutchaBoat · 22/09/2011 21:16

I just started watching it. It is nowhere near as bad as some of the schools I have worked in...and most of them were 'good' schools Grin

KittyWalker · 22/09/2011 21:17

I'm loving him!

Georgimama · 22/09/2011 21:18

Yes, the amount of lip is pretty shocking.

NormanTebbit · 22/09/2011 21:18

The teachers seem to make alot more effort to entertaining.. MyGCSE historywas spent staring at a textbook Grin

My history teacher was a god. We all loved him and I was delighted to find that when he retired a couple of years ago his current pupils started a facebook page in his praise.

Georgimama · 22/09/2011 21:21

Mind you another history teacher married a girl in my year. Bet that doesn't happen in this programme....

bruffin · 22/09/2011 21:22

I work in harlow and my friends children go there and has one in yr 11.
Apparently Mr drew is legend but she is dreading watching it as she is worried about the picture of the school it will paint

KittyWalker · 22/09/2011 21:22

DH is convinced this is a spoof......is it?

malinois · 22/09/2011 21:23

Started another thread It's not real though is it? It's a spoof like The Office.

MaureenMLove · 22/09/2011 21:24

Well, if your DH thinks it's a spoof, then the south of the river school that I work at is a spoof every day! WinkGrin

NormanTebbit · 22/09/2011 21:26

I think it seems like a very warm friendly school. Why a spoof? It all seems quite normal

Agree, Norman. This is pretty tame compared to one school in particular I worked at.

renaldo · 22/09/2011 21:29

Has to be a spoof -

renaldo · 22/09/2011 21:30

Seriously - how are they allowed phones in school?

Georgimama · 22/09/2011 21:30

38? Poor sod has had a hard life then. Looks at least 45.

malinois · 22/09/2011 21:31

NT Normal???? I admit I haven't been in a secondary school since 198 but surely modern schools aren't really like this? Really??

prizeelliott · 22/09/2011 21:31

He's lovely!!

SlackSally · 22/09/2011 21:31

They aren't allowed them, which is why they're confiscated if they're seen.

In a school that size you couldn't check everyone's bag.

Ifancyashandy · 22/09/2011 21:32

It's not a spoof. I know someone who worked on it. That Dep Head is amazing!

ShutchaBoat · 22/09/2011 21:32

He's a fantastic teacher and leader. The kids in that school are very lucky.

southeastastra · 22/09/2011 21:32

this is painful to watch, like that teacher in south park

am all essexed out though, it's a shitehole Grin
