I mean showing the accusation she made, and showing the girl who did it.

I guess the parent must have signed an agreement - but yes I see ethical issues

what a lot of fuss over a hoodie

I'd HATE my kids to go to that school - all that fuss over uniforms and not allowing the children to speak.

Seems about 20 years out of date.

All that "Am I amused?"

I'd have punched him?

I guess since that particular parent accused another teacher of 'bum licking' the deputy head, she really couldn't give a flying fig, whether her daughter is named and shamed on the TV!

Agree with Norman - they were looking to ruin her and playing to the cameras. What fun! Humiliate a family on tv over a dress code. Playing to the cameras - insisting they are only acting in the children's best interests. If they were truly interested in the kid's best interests it wouldn't be on television. It is all very wrong. The Governors should be sacked. This school has no perspective. Dreadful. Shame on them.

(not verbatim) "at the end of it she will have 8 GCSEs - we will need to sleep for the whole of August and be on our knees"

Does she deserve it though? And what benefit to her in the long run - the rest of her life isn't going to hand hold her through her cock ups and strops.

The children seem to act like complete brats, I do agree that they probably are nice kids deep down....they don't seem evil/malicious but bratty. What happened to speaking respectfully?

She is now a national branded liar though isn't she? And they're all laughing about it, not entirely professional!

Seems like a great school to me. Completely dedicated teachers who truly believe in children. Can't see a problem.

The children shown tonight come from a background of adults who shout, loose their temper and abuse each other. It's vital that when they come to school they see adults who are calm, happy, have good relationships with eachother and listen.

Going back a bit, but I'm pretty sure I didn't see any pupils calling teachers by their first names.

Unless you mean the other way around?

Oh No I don't think the school is out to ruin a family. I don't know how much control they have over what is broadcast. But it must have Bern an ethical problem - they have a responsibility to that girl.

Ah I just caught the last 20 minutes & thought they seemed like a nice bunch Smile

I think that the fact he's still adamant that she WILL get her GCSE's says a lot about his dedication as a teacher.

Suspect she may be a reformed character by the end of the series don't you? Wink

SS I meant the other way round. Teachers calling pupils by their first names.
