I am counting down to Sunday where they show Harry looking over the edge of the building at a nasty car crash below and Lucas legging it down the stairwell

Was Christine the one who tipped the CIA big cheese over the balcony in the big office block? Seriously laugh out loud moment.

WhoIsThatMaskedWoman · 21/10/2011 17:42

Christine was the original CIA blonde, nice but annoying, fell in love with Tom Quinn.

Boss-tipper was the second CIA blonde, I forget her name but she was the one with the peripatetic accent, who shagged Lucas and was Up To No Good.

ScreamingHeebieCJs · 21/10/2011 19:08

But wasn't Second CIA Blonde also called Christine? [cba to google emoticon]

Tipping the boss into the stairwell was a classic Spooks moment Grin

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 21/10/2011 19:30

Ah, I see, you're muddling up your blond CIA birds. Christine was a goodie who was having a thing with Tom. The other one was Sarah Caulfield - a baddie who was having a thing with my Lucas. Sarah was boss-tipper and the one who was in the mysterious organisation.

Abra1d · 21/10/2011 20:17

I find them a bit muddling, too.

ScreamingHeebieCJs · 21/10/2011 20:38

Sarah Caulfield - that's right. Don't know why I thought she was called Christine. Never has the Confused emoticon been more apposite.

NewChoos · 21/10/2011 22:43

I am confused with the American blondes too.
By secret sect I meant the big wigs who were trying to influence issues - sorry not explaining myself well. But it was Sarah and not Christine I think Confused

RedBlanket · 21/10/2011 22:52

Aah I've got them all mixed up. But come on, I can't be expected to ogle the blokes, follow the plot AND remember the female characters. Something's got to give

Biscuitsandtea · 22/10/2011 07:31

So what happened to Christine? And Tom for that matter? I remember Tom wading off in to the sea, but then he came back, and, I thought, went a bit loopy? Can't remember how he left though?

It is a long time ago.....

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 22/10/2011 08:17

Biscuits, Tom was decommissioned. I forget what he did (think it was going against Harry's orders) and so Harry sent him packing. I think the same sort of thing happened to Christine but can't be sure without Googling and not wanting to Google Spooks at the moment in case of spoilers for tomorrow :)

NewChoos, that sect was called Nightingale - I forget what they did though. I am lobbying DH for a rewatch right from S1 once this series finishes...

@ RedBlanket

HalleLouja · 22/10/2011 08:58

Wasn't the home secretary in nightingale and that was the reason harry killed him.

WhoIsThatMaskedWoman · 22/10/2011 09:14

The previous Home Secretary was in Nightingale, he had cunningly conspired to make it look as if he'd been ousted in favour of the next HS in a Nightingale inspired plot, so Harry trusted him and Ros didn't trust the new HS, which is why she died with him in the bomb that Nightingale set (it was trying to disrupt crucial peace talks by killing some foreign bigwig, I forget who). Anyway, that's why Harry killed him, to general applause.

WhoIsThatMaskedWoman · 22/10/2011 09:17

Tom and Christine both ended up leaving their respective services, partly because they were In Wuv. In "Spooks: The Personnel Files" (yes, I know, but it's surprisingly good actually) it's stated that they are married and running a private security firm.

Biscuitsandtea · 22/10/2011 09:23

Oooh, what is the personnel files thing? Is that a book?

Biscuitsandtea · 22/10/2011 09:27

And the Nightingale HS was the same actor who is in The Hustle?

WhoIsThatMaskedWoman · 22/10/2011 09:33

Yes and yes.

NewChoos · 22/10/2011 11:43

Thanks for clearing all that up, it has been worrying me :)
I think I was confused because they were both so annoying, blonde and American!

As an aside - Does anyone like Castle? I highly recommend, not as an alternative to Spooks as it's a different genre, but both DH and myself really enjoy it.

Abra1d · 22/10/2011 14:27

ACcording to the Telegraph today, Tom Quinn from the first three episodes (Matthew Macfadyen) is back in Spooks tomorrow for a 'fleeting' appearance!

Abra1d · 22/10/2011 15:52

Do I sense a lack of excitement at my very exciting and important announcement about Tom? Hmm

Let's just remind everyone of those gorgeous eyes.

And don't worry about being unfaithful to Adam. It's possible to like them both. Please nobody mention Lucas, though. He's not in the same league.

WhoIsThatMaskedWoman · 22/10/2011 16:00

Sorry Abra1d, we've already done Tom's return, pages back, that's why we're trying to remember who his blond Mata Hari was.

Abra1d · 22/10/2011 17:52

Too slow. Sad

angelinterceptor · 23/10/2011 19:29

I can hardly wait. It's only 90 mins until te last ever Spooks.
If ever there was a box set which is needed in the Interceptor household it is this one for sure.

Got ridiculously excited when Dimitri replied to one of my tweets earlier Blush

TheSmallBloodiedFingerPrint · 23/10/2011 20:23

I have box sets for S7,8 and 9 nothing to do with luscious Lucas but I'm no sure this one is worth having based on the rest of the series - tonight would have to be an absolute corker!

Abra1d · 23/10/2011 20:38

What are you doing distracting Dimitri at a time like this, angelinterceptor?!

angelinterceptor · 23/10/2011 20:52

I know he's probably really busy on the grid!
Couldn't resist it though.
