A tad cruel, or must watch tv? or both?

I thought they 'actually' go into space before they are told they're not really in space? non?

I missed the first one, just saw it from when they arrived at the camp last night. What tests did they do? Was it to see who would be susceptible to taking it in or was it for some other reason?

I don't think you could call this cheap TV, it cost £4million to make but it is so funny. These kids (since they are all under 25 ish) are so desparate to be famous, before they were chosen they had to choose one person they would trust 'implicity' to make a life or death descision for them, and then asked that person whether they would mind being on this programme. No one said no!

Also the ALex Zane show is funny, he talks to friends of the 'astronuats' and some of them said their friend would be happy to be duped if it meant they were on TV.

Simply there is so many people who want to be on TV that it is easy to dupe them. As a social experiment that is really funny!

and he's yummy, crunchie. Don't forget that. The show is mildly amusing but he is scrumptious (if a little skinny)

Before reading all of this thread I was quite ready to go off on what a cruel and despicable trick to play, programme marks a new low in the reality TV phenomenon, bla di bla. I still won't be watching, but now it's because thanks to your reports I know it would just be giving a pack of moronic eejits the oxygen of publicity
And I most certainly include Mr Box Office Poison Vaughan in that, I cannot stand that man.

They did test to see who were the most suggestable. Anybody basically who had a mind of their own was out.

Also people who didn't lean towards creative were dismissed

and people who weren't influenced by group felling were also out.

I'd certainly watch him being propelled into space at high speed, Chloe, preferably not wearing a space suit or breathing gear. Especially after inflicting the yukyukyuk "Johnny Sings and Dances" ads for his oh-so-successful radio show on us all...

Where was I? Oh yes, there was an ad break and they had the blood donor's advert - you know the one with "I would have died giving birth if it wasn't for this man". Well, there was the Gordon Ramsey one and the guy looked JUST like one of the people off space cadets (Ryan, the one left on the helicopter last night). D'you think the whole thing is a set up????!!!

I don't think that it is a set up. They really seem to be self deluded enough to think that they would be picked for a trip into space. Have you noticed how their behavior is 'playing up' to the BB image, tinges with pseudo 'Right stuff'??

I can't really see the point of it. It cost loads to set up - just to fool a handfull of people!? I assume the 3 planted actors will be the ones chosen to 'go into space' as you can't really fake zero-G

They are not oing to aero gravity, they are not going to 'deep space' hence they don't have have the gravity issue

Which is utter bollocks and anyone who has some physics would understand it a a lie. You are weightless in space (not mass less) because you are in free fall. Even in earth orbit you still have about 90% of the gravity you have on the earth. They are weightless because they are in free fall, and that would be true of any earth orbit, even one low down. They got rid of anyone who understood space and physics to allow them to fake this one.
