DH and I have been watching series on box set rather than TV for ages now and are fast running out. So far we have watched:-

Cold Feet
Friends
Sex and the City
24
House
Lost (I liked this and DH tolerated it)
Dexter

Can you suggest anything else we might like?

Spooks!

Happygomummy · 18/05/2011 16:04

The Wire and The Sopranos. The general opinion is that they are no.1 and no.2 tv series ever (though of course it's personal preference)

Note the wire takes at least half the first series to get into it and have half a clue as to what is going on. But it's so worth it.

We're currently doing west wing, spooks and downham abbey.

Pinkjenny · 18/05/2011 16:06

Second The West Wing and The Sopranos.

WipsGlitter · 18/05/2011 16:06

The Killing. Addictive.

BadBagel · 18/05/2011 16:08

The Killing. It is in Danish with English subtitles but well worth it.

Listmaker · 18/05/2011 16:09

Yes to The Wire and The Killing - best things on TV ever!

True Blood?

BadBagel · 18/05/2011 16:09

xpost :o

exexpat · 18/05/2011 16:10

Sopranos and Modern Family, if you haven't seen them.

Going back a bit further, how about Black Books or Twin Peaks?

CoffeeIsMyFriend · 18/05/2011 16:10

The Wire is fab.

The Shield (think same director as TW)

Frasier (we are currently watching, its hilarious)

Sons of Anarchy.

Kandinsky · 18/05/2011 16:10

Criminal minds.
Would I lie to you

qo · 18/05/2011 16:11

weeds, the sopranos and the wire

Sparkletastic · 18/05/2011 16:11

Fringe is great (weird paranormal stuff but great cast) as is In Treatment (Gabriel Byrne as a shrink).

WowOoo · 18/05/2011 16:13

Have you seen Six Feet Under?
Might be time to watching it all over again soon. I highly recommend it.

WowOoo · 18/05/2011 16:14

oh, forgot Damages. Good stuff too.

AngryFeet · 18/05/2011 16:18

Six Feet Under appeals as does The Sopranos and The West Wing.

The Wire I am not sure about. Everyone says it is great but we watched half the first episode and turned it off as it was so boring. Or is it one of those that takes a while to get into.

Will look at all the others suggested, thanks :)

Modern Family

MrsKwazii · 18/05/2011 16:31

Love lots of these. Deadwood also good and only a few series long. Set in Wild West and v good indeed.

PotteringAlong · 18/05/2011 16:34

The West Wing
The Unit
60 Rock
Gray's Anatomy
Flashforward

bea · 18/05/2011 16:37

NCIS - great episodic whodunnits... full of drama but outrageously funny due to the fab characters!!!... and there's 10 seasons!!!!

Spaced for brilliantly funny comedy... same for Black Books and IT Crowd!

JulesJules · 18/05/2011 16:38

Ooh yes, 30 Rock. FAB, especially Alec Baldwin

Sidge · 18/05/2011 16:42

Chuck.

Is v good.
