DH and I are running out of things to watch - please suggest some more box sets for us!

DH and I have been watching series on box set rather than TV for ages now and are fast running out. So far we have watched:-

Cold Feet
Friends
Sex and the City
24
House
Lost (I liked this and DH tolerated it)
Dexter

Can you suggest anything else we might like?

Ncis is great, as is gossip girl, house, shameless, csi

CSI New York/Miami,etc. There are loads of them. If you haven't watched Frasier,I'll second that. It's my alltime favourite comedy show.

Spaced - best sitcom ever.

Sopranos - Six Feet Under - Dexter - Carnivale - Big Love - Mad Men - and would also really really recommend Deadwood

Personally tried really hard with The Wire and just didn't like it - the same with Brotherhood

MooMoo Green Wing was fab, so surreal and so so funny.

another vote for The Wire, i hated the 1st episode as couldn't understand a word they said... went on to watch all the series of it back to back while pregnant with dc3 and it is the best thing ever on tv

The Wire is the best thing I've ever seen on TV I think. And I agree with all those who say it takes time to get into. I had three attempts at Series 1 episode 1, but then watched all 5 series back to back. brilliant.

Deadwood is great too - great characters.

Breaking Bad. And the Killing was great too. And Treme?

You have to perservere with the wire and my top tip is to turn on subtitles - it was a revelation!
